    Avery officially placed on waivers! Deal must be done by the Rangers by March 4th for Avery to be eligible for the playoffs.

    Rangers got raped 10-2 tonight... in all honesty it should have been like 15-2 but there was so much mercy hockey being played. The Stars scored 6 freaking goals in the 3rd.

    Well the Rangers face the same thing we do by playing in MSG. We have to deal with the Bulls/Circus/Disney On Ice/Concerts etc... they have to deal with the Knicks and the same things we do. With there only being so many days in the hockey season and 30 teams to accomodate, I assume this was one of the only ways they could work it all in based on the factors I mentioned. I hate it too and I think it sucks, but it is what it is.

    MY OBSERVATIONS FROM WATCHING TIVO: 1ST PERIOD Amazing play by Havlat to set that goal up. I loved seeing Toews stick up for Campbell after he got leveled after a whistle. Last 10 minutes were sloppy and we spent a lot of time in the defensive zone. Sure as [expletive] glad that Kane is getting this ridiculous slump out of the way. 2ND PERIOD Unlucky penalties for Keith. PP chances looked WAYYYY too sluggish. PATRICK KANE... levels the [expletive] out of someone at 3:40 in open ice.

    Well.... I did crunch stats myself, never posted them. But I DID predict 5-2. Make it happen with an empty net!

    Khabibulin vs Flames: 2-0 We are 10-0-0 against Canadian teams this year and I think we beat a good (tired - 3 games in 4 nights, this is the 3rd game) Flames team and go 11-0-0 againts Canadia. Hawks win 5-2. Don't have time to dig up stats ATM.

    How do you feel about Zetterberg getting mugged by 3 players and Jovo cross checking him repeatedly in the back of the head? I feel that I hope this is the kind of thing that gets the Wings a little motivated to play better hockey! Although the Wings generally dont play an enforcer, they are not the type of team that I would want to get under their saddle by doing crap like that. When they are on, they can flat out demoralize a team like Phoenix.(Kind of like they did to Chicago that left a lingering effect for several weeks) Jovanovski has been a dumb butt since his days in Florida. I am not a huge fan of +/- as a stat, but I think he has only been a + player once in his career. He has played on some good teams also Hey hey now... although true, that was below the belt :-P I just hate crap like that at the end of a game you're certainly going to lose.

    Another classy display by Jovanovski and Gretzky and the Coyotes near the end of the Wings game. I hope Jovo gets suspended for that...

    Just turned the game on... I see the score. Has it been this big of a mugging? Have the Bulls actually been playing awesome, or have the Hornets just been bad as usual without Paul?

    I've got Phoenix over GS to end my skid... man have I been terrible lately. Def. picking the Hawks tomorrow... I'll post my reasons tomorrow morning when I'm supposed to be working :-D
