    This is the real question -- On Saturday 4/18 here are the games: Chicago TBD Capitals 12:00 Wings 5:00 Bruins 7:00 Would Chicago be taking the 3:00 spot? I don't see how this is logical because the Cubs play the Cardinals at 2:55 on FOX so it would be conflicting with the ratings AND make it a TRAVEL HELL in and out of Chicago at the start and end of the game... they wouldn't be THAT dumb right? We'll probably get a night slot?

    Wow it's already raining hard here and Weather.com says 60% or better chance of RAIN and WIND all day with wind chills around freezing... not sure I even want to suffer through that. This would be the worst opening day weather in 6 years. If I take a day off work and I sit through a 3 hour miserable rain delay then it gets canceled I would go ballistic. Then I sat through that crap, missed opening day and wouldn't be able to go tomorrow.

Really don't want to be the 2-3pm seed. Wouldn't that make it TRAFFIC HELL in Chicago? A Hawks/Cubs game arrival times being basically the exact same... and with the durations of the sports going about the same.

    I just hope they postpone it early because otherwise I might not be able to go. Could only get 1 day off from work and would happily work tomorrow if I knew for sure it would be rained out. Might have 2 tickets for someone if this is the case.

    The off day is Tuesday, so we'd just be making up the game the following day.

    Ok after the predictions are made... I will post the daily matchups for discussion as a GDT format. I don't know how many of you will be active in playoffs GDTs. I, personally LOVE playoff hockey and will watch as many games as I can no matter which one it is, so I'll be there. Would be pretty cool to get the hockey people on NSBB together to discuss other teams than their home town team or of course the Hawks. How many of you guys barring Cubs games being on at the same time would be opposed to popping into the game chat?

    And WTF? 9:00 start IN Chicago? Why are we starting earlier IN Calgary? Does this make any sense?

    I am completely relieved. The only game I am going to have to miss is the Thursday game! Everything else works perfectly around my schedule of Cubs games, Clinical Time and school! I just think I am going to find out about an afternoon game that might make me a little irked because the Cubs game is at 2:55.

    AS FOR MY PREDICTIONS: WEST: FIRST ROUND Sharks 4-2 over the Ducks. Blues 4-3 over the Canucks. Red Wings 4-2 over the Blue Jackets. Blackhawks 4-1 over the Flames. WESTERN CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS: Blackhawks 4-3 over the Sharks Detroit 4-2 over the Blues. WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS: Red Wings 4-3 over the Blackhawks. I only added that last part because I can see it happening and me being pissed. But at least I can say "I told ya so!"... but if the Hawks advance it's alllll good. EAST: FIRST ROUND Bruins 4-2 over the Canadiens. Capitals 4-1 over the Rangers. Devils 4-3 over the Hurricanes. Flyers 4-3 over the Penguins. EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS: Bruins 4-2 over the Flyers. Capitals 4-3 over the Devils. EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS: Bruins 4-3 over the Capitals. God, I hate opening days... but they sure are the best!
