I began reading my assignment, with the game on but the volume down. I turn and look just to see what Fontenot does. He cranks a solo shot, I think of the board and say sneaky power man. But still down two runs I turn back to read some more. I then hear Len's voice a little bit so I turn and see Soriano double. So I turn the volume up a little more. I hear Theriot singles to right. So I stop reading there and decide to wait until the inning is over. I then see Lee walk and think how great would it be if Aramis homers than i'll be happy when I read my stupid macroeconomics book and what do you know. I know everyone thinks that but at least I will be hopefully happy hopefully at least. :) GO CUBS GO CHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLS!

if we win today, we only need to be 3 games over .500 more to be the most games over .500 since that 1945 season. And if we win today we will have 6 less wins than we did as a whole last season

Marquis 68 pitches through 5. Looks like probably 7 innings possibly 8 if he keeps this going. he's at about 13.6 pitches per inning if he does that he will be 95 through 7. Hopefully he gets a quick like 7 or 8 pitch inning so he can go 8, that'd be nice.

What happened with Aaron Crow? He was a stud at missouri and hated when Nebraska had to face him. The Nationals drafted him and completely blew it in their negotiations with him. He is slated to play independent ball and will re-enter next year's draft. Q&A with Bowden I wouldn't mind the Cubs getting him then.

I could just imagine him being the laughing stock of baseball doing that hop, twisting his ankle on the wall while the ball strikes him squarely in the face and the tying run comes around from first to score.

It would be Clement, but he would get the loss. Sounds about right. Where is Matt Clement these days? I know he had a hot streak with the Red Sox in 05. Last I heard, the Cardinals tried to rehab him this year, but I think they cut ties with him. If even LaRussa and Duncan cant save him, hes done for. If LaRussa wanted to save him he would have put him in the outfield and made him the best power hitter on the team in front of Ankiel :banghead:

actually he's hitting .403 when putting the first pitch into play, so i'd say that swinging at the first pitch has made him a .300 hitter. I stand corrected haha But I don't know whenever I watch the games which is pry less than most of you because I only get WGN. It always seems his good days are when he is taking 2 to 3 pitches at least and poking them into RF for singles.

Hopefully facing the nationals pitching 3 days in a row DLEE will get a much needed spark and heat up drastically.

After 2 innings 30 pitches a 6 pitch inning is always a good thing Marquis just remember that \:D/
