    Once they get past the Cardinals. The 4 games back might not seem like that much, but jumping St. Louis, Philadelphia/New York, and Milwaukee isn't going to be easy for them to do with only 17 games left. That's an insane amount of games that have to go right for the Astros to take control of the wildcard. At this point, I think the Brewers are more concerned about the possibility of playing poorly in Philly this weekend, since they're the more imminent threat. One thing is that they can't help themselves by beating any of those teams you mentioned. What they can do though is play Pittsburgh 5 more times, the Cubs 3, the braves 3, the reds 3, and the marlins 3 times. That is a very favorable schedule with the way they are playing right now, I just hope we can come back take the next 2 from the cards and 2 of 3 from the astros that would make me more comfortable.

    And if we are just talking about the playoffs although I don't want to see this happen. If the cubs go 0-19 the Phillies would still have to go 7-11 to pass them. So that is good news but I see the Cubs going 11-8 give or take 1 game. So that would mean the Brewers would have to go. Cubs 10-9 Brewers would have to go 14-4 to tie us in the division 15-3 to take it from us If Brewers did that, Phillies would have to go 17-1 to tie us for the wild card and 18-0 to take the wild card from us Cubs 11-8 Brewers would have to go 15-3 to tie and 16-2 to take it from us Phillies would have to win out to tie us for wild card You get the picture and I think I did the math correctly.
