  1. Cubs Pirates (2) 1-1 at worst Marlins (3) 2-1 Reds (3) 2-1 If we go 5-3 final record 86-76 Brewers Braves (3) 1-2 possible 0-3 Hudson, Smoltz, jo jo reyes (vs sheets but maybe not) They may have to make a spot start with someone Cards (3) 2-1 possible 1-2 Padres (4) 2-2 at best If they go 5-5 or even 6-4 They are only at 83 or 84 wins. If we go 5-3 They must go 8-2 in their final 10 to get to 86 wins 7-3 to get to 85. So even if we split our final 8 games it will be a tough task for them to accomplish with the schedule they have. But I say lets just go 5-0 in our next 2 vs pirates and 3 vs marlins and take all the doubt out of the final series with the stupid reds.
  2. I'm really loving Soto he will be huge in the run for the nl central.
  3. can't believe so many things can happen to such a great guy like griffey i really hope he's alright although it didnt look good
  4. To close the season be enough to win the NL Central finishing at 85-77? Or do we need to manage a couple sweeps and finish 87-75? That's taking the game vs pitt the game vs st louis monday. Taking 2 of 3 from houston. 2 of 4 from St Louis. 2 of 3 from cincy 2 of 3 from pittsburgh and 3 of the final 6. If i did the math correctly.
  5. Jacquers um yea just do your job buddy!
  6. woooooooooooooo hooooooooooooo LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  7. But then again it only takes a week long hot streak and playing well the rest to get up there. If we were to go on a 7 or 8 game win streak some how which we we're close to being on a 5 game streak had we not had a set back vs st louis. Probably could've even won the rain out game if Z was on going against kip wells. If we can manage a long win streak which I think we'll see a 5 game win streak at least somewhere down the line I think we'll be in line for at the least 85 wins.
  8. Looking at the schedule I think it's very possible to do. But it will take some luck. What's everyones thoughts on finishing the season 24-14. IMO that's winning all the series from here out except losing the make up game to St Louis and splitting the 4 game series with St Louis. What's everyone think about finishing with a 88-74 record? Do you think it can be done and that should win the NL Central right?
  9. good win cubs. One thing i'd like to say is thank you scott eyre for going out there and doing your job in the 8th. Last 11 appearances for eyre 1-0 1.86ERA 9.2 innings 7 hits 2 er 9 bb 8 ks The walks are high but i'll take it
  10. we're alright 2 down come on dempy one more

  12. FINALLY BIG HIT D LEE! HOPEFULLY THATS A SLUMP BUSTER FOR YA! before this inning top 3 hitters 0-9 now 3-12 1 rbi YAY
  13. haha welp tied. in the nl central again... scoring 6 runs in the first 2 innings solid outing for doug davis. Hopefully he comes out in the 3rd and gives up 3 more.
  14. the pitcher yovanni gallardo homers followed by a rickie weeks single. Doug Davis you suck.
  15. To add to it, 1945 was the last year the Cubs appeared in the World Series. Haha thats kind of what i was trying to get at.... but oh well.
  16. i want a sweep! I don't see it happening but my lucky penny thinks otherwise as of now. I've never seen a penny this old before in my life. The night the cubs lost 11-9 to the reds as i'm leaving my friends house i pick up a penny. It's heads up so I keep it in my pocket. I nearly throw it out of my pocket the next day when I see the reds tied it 4-4 after we scored 4 in the 1st and they put um right back up. Following the 12-4 win over the reds i looked at this penny that I picked up. Now I'm usually not one for superstitions but if anyone would keep a heads up penny it'd be this one just based on the year. 1945 is the year on the penny never in my life have I seen a penny before 1960 how I managed to come across this.... I dk. Go Cubs.
