With the way hes playing here we could probably give him to the cardinals for pujols and pujols would bat .100 and cedeno would bat better than Ludwick.

There have been far more ups than downs, after all, this team has lost the fewest games in MLB and they lead all teams in comeback wins... It still sucks to lose. We're a little spoiled this year. Oh I know theres been a ton more ups this season but we even have a lot of downs in the games we managed to comeback and win which has been quite a few comeback wins we have this year.

Gosh just saw that error again and I know if Derosa was playing more heads up he could've tagged Cintron out on that patterson error! ugh he just kind of turned lackadazikly like he didn't care.

They were down 7-1 and came within a single of tying it in the 9th. Let's be honest here... 2 of the guys batting in the 9th should never even bat in big spots and the other (Fukudome) had no chance against Sherrill. They still showed the ability to come back. Exactly. Once they fell behind 7-1, they had no business being in the game. The fact that they were within a single of tying it or a double of winning it in the 9th with 3 chances is more of a testament to how really, really good this team is. Agree completely about how this game shows the team is a good team after being down 7-1 and fighting back to a single away from a tie, it helps me to get over the losses much easier than normal.

How about the guy we just sent to Iowa instead of some of the dead weight that inhabits our bench. Oh I would have no problem with Hoffpaur being up here. I'd take him over redhead anyday I don't know how many times I've seen murton pinch hit and look pathetic lets just say A LOT

He actually kind of looked like he was feeling pressured into winning the game there in that at bat, swinging at everything, not a good at bat but we all know what he can do, and what this team can do they just didn't do it for 9 innings tonight. It would be one thing if this sort of thing only came up in pressure situations, but he does that freaking awkward helicopter swing any time a slider/change LHP is on the mound pounding the outside corner. It drives me insane. That is true I do notice it a lot but I have seen some times when he has hit that breaking ball away from a lefty but they are usually in the zone, he swings at a lot of the breaking balls low and away out of the zone and then proceeds to do is sweet swing. If only he would've leaned his shoulder into that ball inside. Then Patterson could've batted and Lee could've won the game YEA I SAID IT CUBSGM LEE could've won the game!

I say we bring the young man in my avatar up for PH he couldn't be as bad as Cedeno I mean hes a Husker :good: haha ok that might be pushing it but im just trying to get a laugh to get over the loss, i'd be in bed if i had work at 630 but since I don't i get to mull this one over for awhile.

It's so crazy the ups and downs you recieve with Cubs baseball at least we'll get some more ups and downs tomorrow i guess.

He saw what Sherill did to Fukudome, generally the best lefty hitter the Cubs have. Eric Patterson should've been given the chance to redeem himself and if not we could have blamed him for the entire game instead. Now I put the blame on Blanco haha Okay, I must've missed something during the time I wasn't watching. What'd Patterson do? Called Theriot off on a flyball and then proceeded to miss the catch leading to a 2 bag error to start the inning they then proceeded to score 3 runs and go up 7-1, otherwise the worst it gets would have probably been 5-1 maybe 6. Were there two outs when it happened? No it lead off the inning but still thats a real killer when you should've had easy out to start the inning. Then I think they hit double triple single and then we got out of it.

One other thing about Derosa after Patterson missed that ball if he would've been a quicker he kinda made a lackadazikal tag I think he would've got the runner at 2nd, I don't know how close it was or was it just me that thought Derosa should've still be able to get him if he put a quicker tag down instead of how he did it?

Cedeno fouled off the first pitch that was Ball 1 but he likes to swing at pitches of a guy that struggled to hit the zone just two batters earlier against Dero

In other news the cards brewers astros and pirates gained a game but at least the dusty baker reds didn't i guess

alright come on down to EPATTERSON LETS DO THIS DON'T BE A FOLLOWER IN COREY'S FOOTSTEPS.... Ok or not Henry Blanco on the equivalent level of Corky Miller trying to tie the game against the Brewers for the Braves.
