It's funny some of the Cards fans that keep trying to talk up the talent on the boards over here. I know multiple St Louis Cardinal fans that are crapping their pants because the best they thought they'd finish when they say the lineup was 4th in the Division, some fans are just delirious and don't realize when half of your team overachieves your going to be rolling smoothly.

Actually look forward to the remaining Cub StL games. Cards were very flat offensively the last series, so you would expect that not to be the case next time. Yes, agree on 'paper' Cubs should win at home, so everybody believes and expects. I just wouldnt sell anybody short...this early anyway. Especially someone who does a lot of winning year in year out. Very flat offensively or the Cubs pitchers made the cardinals look pathetic, handcuffing them all weekend except for the Kerry Wood blown save, I mean I guess sure they were "flat" when you are going against good pitching.

Just do a little research on all your players, you come back and report to me all the guys overachieving on their career numbers. I'll give you a small sample Aaron Miles career numbers not including this year and the years he had over 100 at bats. 476-1686 .282 average so I don't know I think he's bound to cool off from his .323 average just maybe don't you?

In other news Scott Baker of the twins had a no hitter through 5 2/3. Then gave up a solo homer and another hit in the 7th and the Twins trail the Rangers 1-0. Rangers have 2 hits Twins have 3 hits a pitching duel I would have to say ha

I still can't understand how we had so many all-stars and that guy was not one of them. Probably because people look at his numbers and say he only has 1 HR and 25 RBI's. That could be the only explanation I know of. He probably would've looked 10 times better representing the Cubs than Kosuke did at the plate and Soto.

The Cardinals lose? That's unpossible. Give it time. This is San Diego. I suggest the Padres score 10 more runs before I have any chance to think they will win.

Also D Lee hasn't been a consistent guy to hit into DP's it just started this year. Last year he had 15 GIDP's while this year he has 19 GIDP's. 11 times before that, 12 times before that, 14 times before that. So he obviously isn't doing so hot this year but he isn't really a GIDP machine. Strikes out every 4.3 at bats in his career, close to a k per 5 at bats last season. and one K per 5.8 at bats this season, so he is doing better in the strike out category this year as opposed to his career.

We'll he's still on pace to go for about 25 homers this season which is only 8 off of that 3 year span average.

You can't be talking about the Lee from 03-05 with his 99 home runs in that 3 year stretch can you?

Dempster please do not walk the effing pitcher....... Punched him out thank goodness, phew thank you umpire for the call, now after the pitcher's reaction hopefully he squeezes the zone at him.

Alright now a double play would be nice but an out and 1 run is fine, or maybe a fly out throw em out from Kosuke at the plate!
