especially to the damn pitcher, vizquel probably would've score either way not sure if he took off on contact or not but just a dumb play by Dero and now Giants hitters getting patient and Dempster not throwing strikes. come on Demp.

Get runners in scoring position and he will be the best hitter at the plate against those tough righties though haha. I think Bryan Wilson is pretty good for the Giants and that is who he hit the walk off single against right

Another W and a 5-1 homestand would be nice going into the All Streak break Cubs! Haha how I remember when we lost the series to Baltimore and everyone was saying we might relinquish the lead to the Cardinals or Brewers by the time of the all star break go figure we have a bigger lead than we did I believe before the Baltimore series =D>

I think I heard in the 4th inning when he struck out Aurilia he hit 98..... I dont know if that is true or not though. I'll see what gameday has to say. Gameday says 97 on the pitch to Aurilia in the 4th when he struck him out. Pulled back for a little extra on that one he threw 93 the first pitch to him in the at bat and 94 on strike 2 of the at bat the 3rd pitch.

Ah atleast I don't have to follow the Brewers and Cards games closely tonight to make sure they don't gain a game. Thank you Sean Marshall and Reed Johnson.

slow lead runner with poor baserunning instincts, batter who has been hot, and the next batter is a guy who does not hit RHP well. Sure Reed doesn't hit good against RHP but I'd take him maybe only behind Aramis in big situations with RISP. .377 going into the at bat now 21-54 and batting .389 with RISP

I'll take any win, no win can be the worst win of the year, it can definitely be the ugliest win of the year though.

thats best on the team isn't it Fred? hmm I thnk i said something about Reed Johnson being good with RISP. The bunt would have been good if it worked, it didn't and Reed still comes through.

With Reed and Theriot, that's asking to have this turned into a scoreless inning... I'm pretty sure the Reed has the best average with RISP, if I saw one of Fred's stats correctly.

Best hitter with RISP on deck even if Reed sucks against righties I'll take my chances bunt them over.

I was thinking something along the lines that if Derosa bunted that Marshall would be pinch run for that is something lou would do.

Exactly what I was thinking if you bring someone in for marshall and the Cubs don't score, my thoughts on our chances of winning goes down by a lot with Lieber in there.

4 of those balls were intentional, and if Soto walks you get Ronny Cedeno up there to win the game. It's not a bad situation to swing at the first pitch if you like it. It's probably true I'm just venting because of Lou and Marmol I am sorry i will try and keep it down, but if we lose its going to be disgusting.

4 of the balls really didn't count Ok so 9 strikes 7 balls, and one of the strikes didn't really count because Fukudome was just sac bunting
