  1. so dumb that strop didn't at least face one batter yesterday.
  2. the cubs did not play well to end the season. they went 14-13 beginning with the first brewers series. Please hang tight, the arbitrary sample police are on their way. doesn't seem like an arbitrary sample to me. not any more than "month of september" does. it was a big series won by the team that just beat the cubs for the division by one game.
  3. yelich carried a .500 wOBA for a month and the cubs played well in september. milwaukee went balls out. why is it a bad thing that i'm willing to give more credit to milwaukee than blame to the cubs? the cubs did not play well to end the season. they went 14-13 beginning with the first brewers series.
  4. i mean a pretty good player became prime barry bonds for the past month what the hell can we do And even after that they needed like a dozen different ridiculous things (STL falling on their ass on the way to a tying run, a 3-run wild pitch, Castellanos literally handing over the winning run) to happen to force this game. It was meant to be for them and that's just the way it happened. yeah, stop being unreasonable about this and look at it logically. the brewers won because GOD wanted them to.
  5. i mean stop acting like the brewers ended 70-0 and yelich hit .874 or something. they played well, the cubs didn't, ergo the brewers caught the cubs. i don't know why it seemingly makes people feel better to say the cubs didn't horsefeathers this up.
  6. im actually not meaning to criticize the cubs because 95 wins is like ... what can you even say? I would have taken that with a healthy team. It's just the constant "well here's the thing, the cubs are good and the brewers are actually bad. ok they're not bad but they aren't good. ok they're good now but they're not real good and we're better. ok actually now we got 2 hit at home and lost the division OK NOW THEY"RE BETTER THAN WE ARE SORRY GUYS" that's obnoxious and wrong. i mean a pretty good player became prime barry bonds for the past month what the hell can we do that happens sometimes
  7. but the cubs didn't "blow it" so that makes me feel better.
  8. holy horsefeathers our first two hitters have looked like the kid in little league that doesn't know which side he bats from.
  9. holy horsefeathering horsefeathers is daniel murphy blind.
  10. And yet were outscored in the second half and our offense plummeted to the bottom of the league. Some might be due to the schedule but its clear something stinks in Chicago. We will be fine, I'm just trying to drive the final nail in the "Cubs are better than the Brewers and will win the division stop worrying ninny" argument. Stop trying to make these 2nd half stats mean more than they should. ok, over the course of the entire season they finished 11th in the league in hrs.
  11. cubs gonna lose because they let a guy with an OPS 100 points worse than addison russell go 4-4.
  12. at least the cubs' two best relievers will be toast for tomorrow.
  13. guys i really thought we had him this time.
  14. thought it was ballsy of counsell to not use hader earlier vs rizzo, but it worked and boy oh boy did counsell horsefeathering manage circles around maddon today.
  15. damn i felt good about that hader/heyward matchup
  16. i would 1000% use strop in the 9th as a tune up for tomorrow.
  17. there's that patented soft contact we've all come to know and love.
  18. if you're gonna take a gamble with a garbage reliever, why not edwards, the guy who can occasionally strike someone out.
  19. can't wait for dillon maples or whoever to give up a 3 run hr to arenado/kemp tomorrow because chavez isn't available.
  20. the best part is, chavez probably unavailable tomorrow anyway. horsefeathers you maddon.
  21. really makes me appreciate how horsefeathering lucky the cubs were to win the WS with this dum dum in charge.
  22. yeah might as well see if wilson can pull a k out of his ass at this point. or never put him in to begin with...
