  1. i'll look at it some time this week. what's the issue...which tiebreakers determine the draft order for teams that were tied as of 7/31?
  2. A sick month, you mean? I've now worked 100.5 hrs of comp time since Jan 1, so yes I mean month. sorry, new guy syndrome. Unless we are changing things up this year, you will not need to take a sick day. We will allow the draft to extend over several days. Adam, am I correct? yeah, we'll do the extended draft. it's impossible to get a time that works for everybody.
  3. just a reminder
  4. palm HATES iowa state. loves the b10 though.
  5. whoa iowa state has a verbal from the #1 WR in the 2014 class. that's pretty miraculous.
  6. and how are the cubs going to "get" kershaw? If I'm in charge, we likely won't get him as I won't hand out the contract that someone else will. so then he's not an example of a great player that you can get without paying exorbinant prices.
  7. So we're only going to sign/trade for mediocre-good FA (Jackson, Hairston, Dejesus, etc) and all of the great players need to come from the system so that we get them on cheap contracts before they hit FA and then let them walk and if we fail to produce them we just won't look to acquire any? The elite organizations either produce them from their own system or trade for them before they hit free agency. Pretty sure that's the Cubs' plan. examples please.
  8. and how are the cubs going to "get" kershaw?
  9. You can name worst-case scenarios for every contract out there but at some point you need good players on a team to compete. Believe it or not, it's possible to get good players without giving out bad contracts. But it's impossible to get great players without paying exorbitant prices. How much is Kershaw making again? yes, the dodgers. not overpaying for anybody and winning tons of world series. they've got it figured out.
  10. pretty much every successful team in the last decade has had its fair share of huge/bad contracts, right? the exception being tampa bay, who has played in one WS and won zero. last year's two WS teams were both littered with contracts that would break the rule of "pay for future performance, not past performance." there is no correlation between lack of huge/bad contracts and success.
  11. yep everyone who said the mariners should give felix $175 mil without examining his throwing arm apologize to tim.
  12. no DL for suspended players.
  13. And the game in Ames was called differently? Look at the foul totals there, you were handed that game, on top of Hilton Magic. Why would you ever expect different in college basketball on a home court. I'm not disagreeing with you that it happens, but why bitch? It's almost guaranteed now adays on the road. thanks for explaining how officiating works on the road in college basketball. ps kst is usually going to be called for more fouls than their opponent because they're a bunch of shameless muggers. ps the charge call on mcgee in ames right before the half was literally the worst charge call i've ever seen and it was a five pt swing. kst didn't get cheated out of anything in that game.
  14. Wichita is out and won't be back in for the rest of the season, but you're going to punish Creighton for losing at Indiana State, who's proven that they're a bubble team? I don't see you trying to get Kansas State kicked out of the polls for losing at Iowa State (Hint: Iowa State = Indiana State, resume wise). can creighton be out of the polls yet?
  15. frank martin would be proud of this kst team's tackling/offensive rebounding.
  16. iowa st has zero chance of winning this game the way it's being called. hate road games.
  17. lol zeller acts like he thinks indiana is on offense. still got them for 41 wins.
  18. Wichita is out and won't be back in for the rest of the season, but you're going to punish Creighton for losing at Indiana State, who's proven that they're a bubble team? I don't see you trying to get Kansas State kicked out of the polls for losing at Iowa State (Hint: Iowa State = Indiana State, resume wise). kansas st is overrated and i hate them, but they did beat florida (and okie st and oklahoma x2). creighton's best win is wisconsin. and they lost to drake. If you count Oklahoma as a good win, then I'm going to say so is Arizona State (N), Akron, Indiana State, and @ California. i'm confused by how OU is so highly regarded too, but the fact is, they're 20 in the RPI.
  19. also, [expletive] indiana state...losses to drake, illinois st, southern illinois and morehead st. imagine those losses on a BCS team's resume...that team would not be considered a bubble team.

  21. get stupid wichita state and creighton out of the polls and keep them out.
  22. tcu trying to do that thing where the underdog shits all over itself in the last few minutes...
  23. yeah, let's give national championships the very small amount of weight they deserve.
  24. lol fouled him from half court all the way to the hoop.
  25. maybe it's own forum.
