  1. Why? Because they haven’t done so yet?
  2. What’s the draft pick return if Willy goes in FA after getting the QO?
  3. MLB pipeline slots this guy into #8 on our prospect list, ahead of Caissie fwiw
  4. Till we get the Happ walk off
  5. I like it. Insurance for Lonzo being dead and can play some minutes alongside him if a miracle occurs and he stays healthy. Basically allows 1 year 2.9M. Edit: oof just looked at his defensive metrics. At least he’s just replacing Matt Thomas.
  6. How much of the MLE does that take up? The portion greater than vet minimum?
  7. Bingo. They will be over the tax for awhile after this year once Ayo needs an extension and some other contracts escalate. I’m okay with them avoiding it for now this year if they are going over for Mo Bamba. That said, I want Hartenstein.
  8. Ayo with more length? Ayo, Coby, Pat and picks for KD now.
  9. That’s 3 outs on the bases that I’ve seen
  10. Only watched the 9th inning, but holy horsefeathers is Sutcliffe terrible at his job.
  11. 7 baserunners allowed in 4 innings? Didn’t watch the game. What am I missing?
  12. Seiya is bad now? What the hell. Hadn’t paid attention in probably 2 weeks.
  13. What O lineman could the bears have drafted that would have helped 2022 Justin Fields?
  14. Maybe. He also signed an offer sheet with the Kings last time. I think he stays since we can offer him the most. But if we mess around and don’t go max, I think he’ll go to a west coast team.
  15. Guess we aren’t going to be able to trade Kyle for anything good huh?
  16. Exactly. Draft defense (or really BPA), pick up a couple offensive FAs, see where you’re at next year when you have more space and better draft capital.
  17. Too many holes to fill to not go BPA. But yea, a shot at this deep WR class probably would have been nice.
  18. I was entertained most of this season. Hoping for some nice roster tweaks, better health, and off-season growth from PW and Ayo.
  19. “Degenerative knee (that he) would be dealing with long term” doesn’t sound like something to float prior to trying to get a max/long term contract. I wish I trusted the Bulls medical staff more to not be majorly concerned about this for the future of the Bulls. Are you sure you read that right? They said that its been ruled out that it's degenerative. Or do you mean that even making the association with degenerative knee conditions is not ideal before FA? Misread as “hadn’t been ruled out”. Long day at work. *facepalm*
  20. It definitely makes sense because LaVine was nowhere near the same player he was earlier in the season, but at the same time this seems like something floated from his camp to keep his value high. The truth is probably both. “Degenerative knee (that he) would be dealing with long term” doesn’t sound like something to float prior to trying to get a max/long term contract. I wish I trusted the Bulls medical staff more to not be majorly concerned about this for the future of the Bulls.
  21. He for sure does. One of the only issues, which isn’t really one but a rule, is that you have to trade contracts for contracts within a certain % based on your cap spot. Like you can’t trade a $30 mil contract for a $5 mil contract. So he’d have to be traded for someone already making good money. And those guys are always out there with some stuff added either way, who that is idk currently. But there certainly will be some new disgruntled star this summer who wants out that Derozan + some picks would net. I don’t know if I was thinking ‘disgruntled star’ as much as ‘picks from some team who sees demar as their first option and then those picks turn into very valuable assets when demar regresses or gets hurt because he’s old’. But not sure how you do that with those contract rules. Teams under the cap by that much can absorb his contract, but I believe OKC is the only team currently under the cap. I’m sure there’s a handful that will be under enough by renouncing the rights to their free agents, but nobody jumps out as someone who could absorb Demar’s contract and actually be willing to give up assets for him.
  22. Yeah, he definitely has value. 2/$56M left on his contract is a good deal.
