The fact of the matter is Murton is a left fielder. Soriano is hurt. Soriano was our left fielder. Now he cant be our left fielder for at least 15 days. Now, our 2B is a left fielder. They could have just made things easier on everyone if they just brought up Murton, who as earlier stated, is in fact a left fielder.

Heh, that was my immediate reaction to this. This was my thought too. I really doubt it matters much really. Sori will be back in 2 weeks and the club will continue to roll on the back of Lee. At least we can enjoy an much more balanced lineup while he is out Does anyone know what the Cubs record was with Soriano on the DL last year? 10-13 I believe That is a different Cubs team. D-Lee is back to his superman form, Fukus come to town, Sotos ready to break out any minute, plus we've been playing without Sorianos so far this season anyway.

I don't think that's right. It's not, Murton already burned an option year by getting sent down after spring training. well, then its just a strange decision. Youd think that if a guy gets injured, youd want to bring in someone who plays the same position.

Murt must be on his last option by now, and with Soriano not expected to be gone any longer than the 15 day minimum, Murt would not get much time up, and theyd have to put him through waivers, and hed be grabbed up in a minute. Patterson has only been up and down once, and can be bounced around a few more rounds.

I was shocked that JH was greenlighted to make the Zambrano and Fukudome deals. That being said, with Zell, who really could care less about the Cubs still the money man would he let him go out and sign Bonds, who would still demand a ridiculous sum of money, especially with it only being a short term replacement. That being said, the CUbs are off to a great start with Soriano hitting .17something, and we'll be fine, if not better with Murton in the lineup. JH wants to boost Murts trade value anyway, so this is a blessing in disguise for him.

Historically speaking, youd have to definitely go with the Hulk, but more recently, probably Wolverine, especially with the X Men movies doing great and the Hulk movie tanking. -

I dont know abou giving up on Pie, but I just dont think this is his year. Sure, hes great on defense, but his bat is putrid, and when were trying to avoid a 100 year drought, this is no time for on the job training, especially if we have a better bat for the job. Felix needs a little moe time in Iowa to get his confidence back. Hopefully he can knock around some AAAers, and then come back.

This is 0 doubt in my mind that we'll win tonight and lose tommorow. While Josh Fogg may as well be a T Ball stand, especially with the wind blowing out, we have tat Edison whatsit Thursday, and anytime you hear the words promising young pitcher, the Cubs may as well not even show up to play.

Maybe Soriano needs a little DL time to get his act together. This team has done a great job so far, with Soriano all but absent offensively. We can bring up Murton, and hopefully he can do a good job, and drive up his trade value.

see thats why Fuku needs to hit leadoff. A lot of singles, a lot of walks, works a deep count. Just try it a few times Lou, especially if Sori misses a few games.
