  1. And meanwhile Sean Gallagher rots away in the pen. Can this PLEASE mark the end of the Jason Marquis era?
  2. Marquis' had good luck vs. Pujols so far, but mark my words, if he keeps letting the garbage around him on, he'll get him eventually.
  3. I think he's still in the minors with them. There's no B-R record of him leaving the organization. He's a mayor in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. Is that a suburb of Dog River ? I have no idea I just looked up John Rodriguez and that came up J Rods currently with the Durham Bulls.
  4. its good to know we paid 136 million for Corey Patterson minus the defense.
  5. no, gallagher is a rookie and marquis is a veteran. plus Marquis demanded to be started or traded, so we cant risk losing such a valuable member of this team.
  6. It seems as though Sean Gallagher moves closer to the rotation with every pitch Marquis throws.
  7. keep em coming boys. 2 runs aint going to be good enough tonight.
  8. Why the hell is Soto hitting 6th while we have that damn journeyman in the 5 spot?
  9. this probably wont be the last time this evening that I mention that Im getting fed up with mark DeRosa.
  10. When teams have fire sales they don't trade their best players who are making league minimum. It depends on what they can get in return and when theyre do up for free agency.
  11. If were talking about dealing with the Rangers, who are due for a fire sale any day now, Id just assume go after Josh Hamilton. We could probably get him for Hill and Marshall, maybe throw in another prospect.
  12. good. now that they're done with the Brewers, he can kindly return to sucking again.
  13. HR Hunter Pence. Game. Set. Match.
  14. Lance Berkman with a leadoff single. Unfortunately for the Stros, nobody named Tejada or Lee is coming to the plate.
  15. Kaz has been OK so far, but Bourne, Pence, and Towles have been nothing short of dismal.
  16. 'ole Salomon Torres is mowing down Astros like its nothing.
  17. extra innings. at least Sheets cant get the win.
  18. Berk walks. save blown. lets see if El Caballo can end it.
  19. 6-5, 2 out, bases juiced. Here comes Berkman. Exciting.
  20. too bad they have that no scoring after the 5th unless they're playing the Cubs policy.
  21. Yup, the call ends up costing the struggling Sox the game. I cant wait to hear Mike Norths rant tommorow morning.
  22. I havent seen one in a while, and Im hoping Im not stepping on anyones feet here, but Ill try to get one rolling... anyway, the White Sox totally just got Cubbed by the umps. 0 out with guys on 2nd on 3rd for the Jays, Eckstein sends one right to Orlando Cabrera, and Alex Rios, who was on 2nd ran right into Cabrera. Cabrera blatently tagged Rios on the leg, which would have been a double play, but the ump said Cab ran into Rios, but didnt tag him. Replay blatently showed otherwise. 1 out. Rolen lines one 2 Crede for the 2nd out, who almost doubled up the guy on 3rd(Greg Zaun), 2 out. Then Matt stairs lines one for 2 RBI, and then next guy sends him home. Contreres just finally got out of the inning. 4-0 Jays.
  23. If Aramis is out today, whichis likely, is there any chance that we'll see Theriot, Cedeno, and Fontenot in the same lineup? We play the Reds after this, and DeRosas guaranteed to start all 3 of those, so this would be a pretty good game to experiment.
