  1. You can usually tell when a teams in a mini slump and when they're in it for the long run. This team just looks bad. The Pirates series may not even bail em out of this one.
  2. This is not a good way to go into argueably the toughest 5 weeks of the season with Arizona, San Diego, and LA.
  3. If that doesnt work, we ended Gallardo, we can end this guy too.
  4. If God loves the Cubs, there will be a terential downpour until morning. Or if we're lucky, a torrential downpour. That'll also work. Cubs just have to move very, very slowly throught the top of the 5th.
  5. If God loves the Cubs, there will be a terential downpour until morning.
  6. Cubs still tied for 6th best record in all of baseball. Wow.
  7. I had to drop him from my fantasy team because of the lack of production. Good hitter, not as productive as I expected though. Say, he'd probably be fantastic out of the 2 spot!!!! In his defense, he hasnt gotten any at bats against Jon Lieber.
  8. I just talked to my grandmother. Apparently, she just homered off Jon Lieber.
  9. You missed Adam Dunn, Joey Votto, Paul Bako, and Jerry Hairston hitting home runs in the 2nd inning No I heard those on XM, I didn't know that everyone who has ever played for the Reds went yard as well though. You must be listening to a different game, lol Dusty is currently contacting the agents of Neifi Perez, Jose Macias, Jason Dubois, Alex Gonzalez, Phil Nevin, David Kelton, Jeromy Burnitz, Damien Miller, and every other out of work piece of crap who played for him with the Cubs.
  10. So have Hal Morris and Glenn Braggs done any damage yet? Slink back to the pen and hang your head in shame Lieber.
  11. I go for lunch for 25 mins, and Lieber has given up 4 HRs, including to Bako and Hairston? Hopefully this little experiment is over. win loss loss win loss loss win loss loss win loss loss win loss. The cycle is complete. Hopefully the day off ends it once and for all.
  12. Hairston can do a lot of things. Hes just not very good at most of them.
  13. Hopefully soon. I know theriot is doing well but I'd still trust Fuku more in the 2hole According to some, the only way that happens is if they find a LH 5th hitter to "protect" Ramirez. Geovony Soto>LH Hitters.
  14. That is a dismal looking Cincy lineup. Might have been a good day to give Soto or Ramirez a rest.
  15. Wow, Cedeno and Pie in, Soriano out. Lou mean buisness. kind of. 16. http://www.baseball-reference.com/h/hamiljo03.shtml Still, pitching has always been the problem for them. I guess they didnt know hed get that good. Hopfully, today is the begining of his downfall and it wont matter.
  17. Volquez has yet to give up more than 1 run in a start. Oh good. God damn Texas Rangers. I guess he was given up on by the same organization who traded Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez for scraps. That GM doesnt still have a job, does he?
  18. Isn't Johnson something like 13-0 against us lifetime? he's only 12-0, but that all happened before he turned 73 Oh. Well that makes it so much better. Randy Johnson really could be 73 pitching against the Cubs and he'd still scare me with his history against us. Our best hope is his recent history. Chances are they'll find some kindof injury between now and then.
  19. MLB has Haren (vs. Lilly), Scherzer (vs. Demps), and Johnson vs. Z I'm not afraid of that last matchup at all. 1st match scares me to death. Depends on which Lilly we get. 2nd one too. Cubs usually dont have much luck the first time facing the latest rookie sensation. 3rd one, we have the clear advantage, but I cant remember the last time we beat Randy Johnson. Granted this is a much older, more broken down Unit, but the history is still there.
  20. do we have an idea of who Arizonas pitching against us? If Randy Johnsons in the equation, Cubs may as well take the day off.
