    There looked to be twice the Cub fans in attendance. There can't be more than 30,000 actual Rays fans in existence, how did you become friends with one? :mrgreen: About 27,500 of which hopped on the bandwagon this year.

    The fact of the matter is Jimmy is our center fielder, at least againt righties and the Cardinals center fielder is some guy who used to pitch and take steroids. Accept it, or dont. He could hit a walk off home run in game 7 of the World Series and some Cubs fans would still hate him, and thats a shame.

    Does Matt Craig have a snowballs hope in hell of at least making it to Iowa, or will they just keep signing hacks like DuBois and Brousard? Hes always seemed to put up solid numbers. Hes 27, and running out of time.

    I group Ensberg with Shea Hillenbrand and Aubrey Huff. Injury, schminjury. These guys numbers took huge dives them moment the steroid scandal started.

    And then theres the fact that we have 2 perfectly solid center fielders, and 3 guys who can hit leadoff until Soriano comes back.

    He's been hot lately. Frankly, I like Edmonds more than Crisp. Before last month, did you ever think youd be saying that?

    These are the pitchers that get to us. Weve beaten or NDd pretty much every ace thrown our way, aside from Volquez who like most everyone, we couldnt touch, but its the Chris Sampsons and such that we havnt been able to get to. Sonnenstine is more of a Chris Sampson than an ace. Im not saying this guys going to beat us, Im just saying I hope they take him seriously. Same gos for this whole Rays team. Just because nobodys heard of half these guys, doesnt mean they cant hurt you. Got that Z?

    Are you sure it didn't come down to Floyd hitting a HR, and Reed Johnson getting thrown out at 3B? Home runs happen. You never know what would have happened had Reed not tried to steal or been safe. However, the way the rest of the inning played out, had Cotts not made an awful throw, Iwamura would have been at 3rd. Maybe he would have scored on Hinske(or whoever)s base hit, maybe not. If Soto had gotten that double, or even a single, the way the inning played out, he would have scored.

    In the end, it comes down to 2 plays: Cotts making a stupid throw, and whoever that was robbing Soto of an easy double.

    Me too. I don't think I like him too much. Our minor leaguers haven't helped us the way they did last year. I wouldnt give up on Hoff. He was just trying to be the hero when he should have tried to mke contact.

    can't use up your whole bench when it looks like it could go extras Why not? You dont have to worry about the pitcher hitting, and you essentially have all your best guys out there. move Edmonds to center, Kosuke to right, DeRosa to 2nd Soto to catch.
