    No kidding. What did some of these posters do the years the cubs actually had a bad team? Accepted the fact that we had a bad team. Its alot more frusterating when you have the kind of team that weve put together.

    Seriously folks, Lou needs to put Soriano in the heart of the damn lineup. I know he doesnt like ti there, but I dont like some of the stuff I have to do at my job, but thats what they pay me for, and I do it. Granted, he hasnt been red hot, but a shake up is needed. Theriot Lee Soriano Ramirez Fukudome Soto DeRosa Edmonds P sounds good to me.

    Why is it so hard to accept that people get frusterated and vent? In the heat of a close loss, its hard to say we'll get em tommorow, espcially when you have the hottest team on the planet chasing you, and they're about to play a home series againt one of the worst?

    Wanna make a bet the Cubs have sole possession of first after the Milwaukee series? Internet bet....sure. I want in.

    Theres 0 doubt in my mind that Harden throws another gem tomorrow and will be lucky to get an ND, and then the next game Marquis will give up 5 runs in 6 innings and get the W.

    Why is it that Bob Howry never gets to the DL? Why cant he just tear something and put us out of hi misery?

    The sad thing is, this team has the players to take Lee and Ramirez out of the 3-4 spots, but Lou refuses to do it. It like Sammy all over again.

    Gee, who would have though that Bob Hpwry of all people would have blown the game. I wonder what happened to that nice young gentleman who wanted to offer him some tips after blowing that Rockies game last year.

    I still think it was a stupid draft pick. Stupid? no. Over hyped and over paid? yes. He was a 5th round pick that folks got over excited about. We'll see how it turnsout down the road.

    Looks like one of those days where the offense decodes to take the day off. Was it a good time to take out Demp, or was it just for the sake of a pinch hitter?

    Ugh. This hardly ever works in our favor... :| he was 12-7 with a 3.10 in 31 games in '06, but since then has spent most of his time on the DL.

    I suppose the optimistic way to look at is that Lou knows he'll only be up for a few days, so he may as well take advantage of the situation and A. give Harden an extra day off and B. see what Sharks made of. If He gets git hard early on, Marshall will be ready to go, and while we really do need an extra bullpen arm, theres nothing we have in Iowa thats really going to save the day.

    Since its become blatently obvious that the Brewers are never going to lose again, we'd better keep piling on the wins. We need Demp to go Deep.

    Right now, I see 3 options more logical than Shark A. Wuertz-we all know he ran over Lous dog or something, but he hasnt been so bad the he doesnt deserve a chance B. Hector Carrasco-Hes an established reliever, whose pit up solid numbers in Iowa. If you dont bring him up for situations like this, why have him at all? C. Chad Fox-now or never-either bring him back and see what he can do, or tell him thanks for coming out, but your not in our plans.

    I just hope to god this doesnt mean that Hardens been hurting. If they are doing it to push Harden back a day, fine by me, but after last night, the pen is where we need out help.

    And now the Cards go on a road trip through New York and Atlanta, and then go home to the Phillies and The Cubs. If they dont fall apart now, they aint going to.

    It kind of makes me wonder if some kind of trade is in the works. Otherwise, it doesnt make a lot of sense why they wouldnt at least bring someone up.

    But I thought the BFiB never booed? Apparently, when you blow late inning leads in 3 consecutive games, even the BFiB boo.

    Clearly Marmol went to the Ryan Dempster school of closing. Seriously, good thing he got out of his own mess, but the fact that he walked 3 guys and almost a 4th suggests that this is in fact not old Marmol. Now Im going to go wait for my heart to start beating again.
