  1. Howry goats. Howry black cats. Howry SI covers.
  2. Hes back in Chicago with forarm discomfort.
  3. You cant tell me The Cubs wouldnt want to sink their teeth into these guys in round 1.
  4. Kevin Hart really makes me long for Bob Howry.
  5. The umpiring isn't as bad as getting swept to a team who was 2.5 games behind with 6 games left to play. And Z forgot how to throw strikes again. I belive this is the post Red Flash was looking for. Other guy said that the Twins werent that good.
  6. when people are putting down a team like the Twins as being "not good", I just naturally assume people are calling them a bad team. nobody said "not good" either what in the world is with all these made up "quotes" Wrong. LLF said "losing to a team like the Twins, who isn't all that good" kinda of implies he believes they are not good. ANyway, back to the Cubs game......... I didnt say that. The Twins are a great team, at least in their own house.
  7. When did the Kings of Leon start sounding like Richard Marx?
  8. I highly doubt DeRo will be in the lineup tomorrow, no matter how he feels.
  9. They are down 3-1. I'm sure Hawk isn't even announcing. The frustrating part has to be losing to a Twin team that isn't all that good. Im not going to lie, that Twins team is fun to watch when their in their own park, plus Hawks frustration is always good for a laugh.
  10. So Im flippimg back and forth with the Sox game, and there was some disputed call at 2nd where a Twin was safe, and Hawk felt he was out, and ever since, hawk wont shut up about how awful the umpiring is in baseball. Thank God for Len and Bob.
  11. How bad? Left the game At this point in the season, if one of the starters so much as stub a toe, they'll be taken out of the game. I wouldnt worry too much.
  12. They're not gonna face the Brewers in the second. And if they do, you should thank your lucky stars. And what on earth scares you so much about the Brewers over the Mets? The Mets have the second highest scoring offense in the NL. Why do people pretend like offense doesn't exist when talking playoff matchups? The Brewer rotation is also a mess after CC. Ive said this a million times. The Brewers are a very streaky team. One minute, their at the top of their game, practically unstoppable. Just when you they'll never lose again, they fall apart. Just when you think they're done for, they get back up and go on another hot streak. All they need is one of those hot streaks to carry them through October.
  13. Seriously paople...seriously. Whether its conscious or sub conscious, the players dont have their all in this game, and why would they? Most of these guys should have the night off. Everytime the situation has called for it, theyve come through. When October rolls around, their teeth will be sharpened, and they'll come back. They always come back. Until then, let the Mets fans enjoy themselves.
  14. I dont see it as a huge cause for concern. Last year, it would be, as after Ted Lilly, Rich Hill would be our next line of defense, but when we have Harden, Dempster, and Lilly, if Z wants to pitch like a #3 or #4, so be it.
  15. As meaningless as the game is, and despite the fact that I still would rather face the Mets in the 1st round than the Brewers in the 2nd, it alwasy sucks to see your "ace" fall apart.
  16. And its a wine cooler away from going home with him.
  17. Say what you will, but Z is easily one of the better #4 pitchers in the league.
  18. Theres a lot of talk at Brewerfan about Gallardo rejoining the rotation. http://brewersfandemonium.yuku.com/topic/13662?page=14 Seriously, Lou, give Z and Harden the week off and send out the worst lineup you can. I really dont want to have to deal with Sabathia, Sheets, and Gallardo in round 2, if it comes down to it. do what we can top give the Mets that Wild Card.
  19. Is there going to be a CC Sabathia left for anyone to sign this offseason? Im telling you, before Yost cleared out his office, he made a pact with Sveum to end CCs career.
  20. It seem every season, someone really steps it up and carries their team through the playoffs. Asuming we have one, who will it be? Im going with Jim Edmonds. Not sure why, I just have a hunch he's going to come through big time.
  21. The bright side is that my wifes birthday is on the Monday and I ws terrified that a decisive game would fall on it. Always a good conflict to avoid.
