  1. Im guessing theyd give Shark or Heilman a start somewhere down the line before DLing Z unless its absolutely necessary.
  2. Brilliant move. Isnt this why Gathright exists to begin with?
  3. Thats a good way to hurt yourself. Now lets let the mashers do some mashing.
  4. As sick as I am of the Forever Young commercial, I do dig the redhead at the end.
  5. Too bad Lou didnt pull a LaRussa and bat Z 8th today.
  6. Here comes Babe Mantle. Lets see some of that really sneaky power.
  7. This ump is a mite stingy. I hope he stays that way for Nolasco.
  8. I just did too. The grilled. Good stuff, but it was a bit on the not so meaty side.
  9. That's what they said yesterday !! And tomorrow.
  10. Anyone know is Aramis is in the linuep? If not, they should have just DLd them when they originally planned on it.
  11. My guess is guys like Theriot are capable of hiting the long ball if they get the perfect pitch, but know it's not their job, so instead of looking for that perfect meatball to smash, they look for the pitch they can get a clean base hit on and set the table for the big boys, but on Friday, he knew that the rest of his team wasnt getting it done, said to hell with it, and got that perfect meatball from a pitcher who never thought that Theriot would do anything with it accept maybe a lazy pop up. Im not saying Theriot suddenly turned into a power hitter, but he probably realised that the pitchers are going to throw him pitches that guys like Soriano or Lee will really see, and that day was waiting for one.
  12. Well they drew Harden(didnt quite work out for him, but the end result did for us), Lilly, and Zambrano. If we can go 3-1 in this series after the game 1 nightmare, that would be just awesome. Hope to see Aramis back in the starting lineup.
  13. Everyone says we need a backup third baseman. Even guys like Ty Wiggington and Rich Aurilia wont be available until July at the earliest. Its either as washup, someone from the minors, or being content with Font at 3rd and Miles at second when Aramis is out.
  14. I expect some regression from Fukudome, but hopefully he'll stabilize into a much better player than he did last year. as for Bradley and Fontenot, hopefully this is a rough patch for them and the'll just get better. Thats how it usually works for veteran players. Whether they have a rough start or a hot start, they tend to stabilize somewhere around their career averages.
  15. He could definitely answer the backup third baseman call. Granted, hed be a poor mans DeRosa, but hed also be a rich mans Miles. Id rather see Fox fill the roster spot thats bound to be vacated by Gathright sooner thsn later, but Graffinino could prove usefull to us.
  16. He's one of the most underrated players in baseball. A bunch of us were complaining when Hendry signed him to that big deal, but honestly, he's been worth it. Hopefully we'll be saying that about Dempster somewhere down the line.
  17. Will Hendry of Lou ever admit that Gathrights absolutely useless?
  18. If we can hang on, the Nats can hang on, and Haren can do what he id in his last start, this will be a very happy baseball day.
  19. Maybe he can do that when there are guys on base too.
  20. If Hoff misses that, we could have been looking at in in the park HR.
  21. Teddys just an animal today. Thats what you get for intentionally walking like the worst hitter ever.
  22. They say its a day off but after Lou saying hed never put Hoff in RF again last week, I dont buy it.
