  1. This would be a good time for Soriano to prove that the Nats series wasnt a fluke.
  2. I hear that no deal is close, but they'll be shocked if he doesnt end up there.
  3. I was thinking that, but I recently heard that a PTBNL can not be somebody who was on the big league roster at the time of the initial deal. Is there any truth to that? Was Zaun on their roster at that time?
  4. As much as Heilman scares me, what scares me more is Guzmans absence. 7th inning, up by 1 run is usually his spot.
  5. Maybe he knows something we dont. Is Heilman warming up in the pen? Crap, he is.
  6. Why wouldnt you have used Hoff right there? Because I would have used Jake Fox, back up catcher or not. You want your best guy at the plate there.
  7. Maybe he knows something we dont. Is Heilman warming up in the pen?
  8. If Koyie Hill does anything of use here...well, that would be awesome.
  9. I don't mind that. He could be like Chip and think a popup is bound for Waveland. The thing that bothered me the most about Chip was that every time the opponent led off with a hit it was automatically an "inauspicious start." Harry Carey was notorious for that as well.
  10. Unless Font can do something, we can chalk this up as a fake rally.
  11. Now that Randy appears to be settled in, lets get the man another W.
  12. Is that possible? Nonsense, Milton Bradleys back! He guaranteed it.
  13. Everyone understood the importance.
  14. Weve got us the Rammy and Kosuke show today.
  15. he's basically a second pitcher in the lineup. Either that or a replacement Aaron Miles.
  16. Agreed. Josh Hamilton was as much a Cub as Tim Lincecum was.
  17. 2009 keeps getting better and better.
  18. Holliday is a Boras client, and even if the Cards intend on giving him an extension, you can bleive that Boras will go through the usual suspects of the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Angels, and Mets for a better offer before making a decision.
  19. Lugo at SS would be fantastic. He cant play D for [expletive], and Glaus at 3rd beside him with his gimp arm would be even better. There are reports Glaus cant make throws to 1st base, but yet you just expect him to come right back and be last years Glaus. Your posts of doom and gloom for the Cubs, and roses and unicorns for everybody else crack me the [expletive] up. He doesnt need to be last years Troy Glaus. Ive never said anything about doom and gloom for the Cubs, but right about now, the Cards seem to have the better lineup on paper, and its pretty scary looking.
