You seriously have to just be trolling/trying to be contrarian on purpose. What? Who is better than Grabow the Cubs could have? It was one game, give the guy a break. Yes he blew the game, but the offense didn't do their part. Joe Beimel is essentially the same guy, and he signed a minor league deal.

Im really thinking that Soto will not be back to 2008 form, and no, Im not basing this on 2 games, Im basing it on 1 year and 2 games.

Marshall and Russell have looked good. Samardzija, Berg, and Grabow have not. I dont think the pens awful at all. Samardzjia awful. Grabows not awful, hes just a loogy paid to be a set up man. I love what Ive seen of Marshall I like what Ive seen from Caridad and Russell I dont know what to think of Berg yet.

If it was only a million dollars, it wouldnt have been that awful of a contract.

Why would that happen? Run of the mill lefty releivers are hard to come by and you have to lock them up when you get them.

Good thing we locked up Grabow when we did rather than sign one of the legions of identical releivers to a minor league deal. [expletive] off and die.

There's never been a pitcher who was so good at missing bats that had such a hard time missing bats. He puts up some wacky lines, that's for sure. Similar to Marmol, when he gets the ball over the plate watch out, but when he cant get the ball over the plate, watch out.

I dont know what Demps PC was, but he definitely had more in the tank.

Man, Demps in the zone. Its not often you see a pitcher make a hitter look as silly as he did Martin Prado last inning.

well, i'm glad that's that. guess i'll tune in next year. Will you people stop with this [expletive]? It's seriously old. He didn't say "don't watch" or "why are you wasting your time?" He just expressed his opinion on the ballclub. People read way too much into things around here. While I definitely dont see this as a 2006esque team, I definitely see it along the lines of 2005. Not awful, but not good.
