  1. Sweet mother of God, how? I had to step outside there for a few when Lindor stepped in, and expected to come back to something awful.
  2. They're trying for the whole eek out a few runs then hand the ball to Miller thing. Don't let them.
  3. Ok, we really need to stop making this pud look better than he is.
  4. More importantly: This is proof that even Jason Heyward can dong in this wind. This was before he forgot how to hit.
  5. And it's not even close: 3.40 ERA, 0.97 WHiP vs. RHB /5.18 ERA, 1.37 WHiP vs. LHB I say go Dex CF Javy 2B KB 3B Rizz 1B Zo RF Contreras C Addi SS Almora LF (better chance of a good defensive game vs. Soler's for offense.) Kyle
  6. Holy horsefeathers, I'd be pissed if we ever trade him. What's great is how he looks exactly the same now.
  7. Particularly when it doesn't involve any teams that we care about. My apologies. Was more of a 36 hours until the next game kind of brain fart than actual concern for a pair of AL teams and their dealings, or lack there of.
  8. Ok, so maybe we don't need Mike Trout. I'd love Mike Trout, but we don't need him. But this isn't about us. It's about Trout and his current team. The Angels are a train wreck. They have to most valuable asset in baseball in Mike Trout. They also have the ugliest contract in baseball in Pujols. An all out rebuild isn't likely, seeing as regardless of what they did, they'd be on the hook for Pujols contract. But they could move Trout, and there's one team that would be the perfect fit in terms of being in a strong position now, and with assets to spare: The Red Sox. Long story short: Bradley, Benintendi, and Devers for Trout: who hangs up first? Alternate: Bradley, Benintendi and Moncada for Trout and Richards: now who hangs up first?
  9. What was with pitch 3 to Naquin? Was he throwing at an obnoxious fan?
  10. Not so much as losing last night only closed one positive outcome, that being a sweep.
  11. Hats off to Kluber and Miller for last night. Last night was more about their strengths than our weaknesses. Fortunately for us, The Indians rotation has a pretty sharp drop off between Kluber and other (at least without Carrasco and Salazar likely limited to the pen.) I know that Miller's capable of pitching back to back to backs, but he threw 46 pitches last night, so I don't know how much he'll have left for tonight; though I don't expect it to matter. Lester was due for a loss. And Jake's due for a win.
  12. http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/17711479/how-theo-epstein-transformed-cubs-roster Not sure if this has been posted here.
  13. horsefeathers this post. We're the 04 Red Sox. The Indians have had too much time off. We're not losing another game. Basically, The Indians are The Cubs Lite.
  14. Our offense combined for a 37.4 WAR vs. their 20.7. Our pitching combined for a 20.0 WAR vs. their 26.4, but you have to take away Carrasco's 3.6 and minimize Salazar's 2.9. 103 wins don't happen by accident, especially when our Pythag. has us at 107, and there's drops them to 91-70. We're just better, by a lot, and we're going to win; and it's going to end at Wrigley.
  15. When was the last time there was a closer who dominated for more than a few years? Serious question, because they don't seem to make Mariano Riveras, Billy Wagners, and Trevor Hoffmans anymore. All I'm seeing is Carlos Marmols, Heath Bells, and Trevor Rosenthals, who rise and fall within 3-5 years. I'm by no means opposed to adding a reliever or 2 to an already strong core of Rondon, Strop, Edwards, and maybe Grimm and Zaz but I'd just as soon not go overboard.
  16. Depends on the opposing SP The Indians currently have 2 LHP on their roster, one being Andrew Miller, and the other a swing man named Ryan Merritt who's pitched a total of 15 big league innings between the regular and post season.
  17. nope One unban per Cubs WS game win?
  18. A few one time regulars that come to mind are eric(letters/numbers,) davearm2, and back2banks, but I don't know if they were chased off or banned.
  19. Javy would like to thank Javy, Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, that guy who turns double plays with me, the red face pitcher and his dad who's also a catcher, Javy, the nerdy looking guy who pitched tonight, the big dude who came over from Cuba who can throw a 105 mph fastball and play outfield, and those others guys.
  20. Look at these d-bags celebrating like they're going to the World Series or something.
