  4. way ahead of ya He says, in response to a 3.5 hour old post.
  5. That's actually exactly why I prefer not to do it. This is mind boggling. If you can't see the tweet you can't see what the response refers to.
  6. Entered. Thread titled "Jason Heyward just gave a pitch a heyride." http://i.imgur.com/XujHL.gif?noredirect look at this discerning young gentleman

  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-cubs-batting-order-versatile-spt-0308-20160307-story.html Does it really matter how we organize our order? Kris down, Schwarbs up, that's the way I like to slug
  9. have to set the arbitrary line somewhere if this were a more active board, MAYBE you set it at 10 Nah, we don't really have to set a line somewhere if we have a Spring Training megathread. harumph
  10. Well that's a conveniently arbitrary rule. have to set the arbitrary line somewhere if this were a more active board, MAYBE you set it at 10 that's weird. the active topics are filled with threads that have 12, 25, 90+ replies. Where are all these 4-5 reply threads that were worth creating?
  11. i didn't say you were doing it wrong i said let's do it the old way i still see nothing wrong with this if something is likely to get more than 4-5 replies, it's worthy of a thread. down with megathreads. what is this old way you speak of it's never worked
  12. It just strikes me as #firstworldproblems complaining. People bitch up a storm that college football games aren't scheduled at the most convenient possible time, but don't care that the title game ends past midnight on a Monday, killing kids' ability to see the game. Not that I'm doing a "but think of the children!" thing, but the point is there was no perfect way to schedule those games, at least not once the SEC and Big 12 teamed up for their silly Sugar Bowl deal to lock in the NYD time slot. any time other than new years eve was closer to perfect
  13. is this peralta guy somebody important?
  14. What exactly were you expecting? These things are just fun fluff pieces. Why does it have to be a fluff piece. If I were one of those two MLB reporters I would have asked Joe Maddon questions about topics that will actually effect the team in 2016. I guarantee you that would lead to a more interesting product for the viewer at home. A few questions off the top of my head: -Wilson Contreras has been dubbed by some as the Catcher of the future. After watching him in person and on tape does he remind you of any Catcher in particular? -You coached John Lackey with the Angels and saw him pitch extensively last season as well. Talk about how his repertoire has changed over the years and what allowed him to be so effective as a 37 year old. -Talk about the changes in Kris Bryant's swing and how you believe it could potentially effect his performance this season. My interview with just those three questions alone would have been better. Not enough Cardinals clips Phuck off, you lame troll. ;) Your preferred questions are dumb.
  15. That was a fun weekend and a solid atmosphere
  16. Are we ignoring omc circa 2005-2013?
  17. the only people who care about this are people who are going to find something to complain about no matter what. It's just poor protocol from a new AD No it isn't. Those announcements will always get leaked before communicated "properly" internally. There's no way around it.
  18. you know the "away" games are probably like 20 minutes away from the home games right? Nothing is 20m from Mesa
