  3. wow, what happened to this thread?
  4. i am just really hoping that a RF situation is going to be remedied in the upcoming days dye, dunn, griffey, pena...i don't care... please get another bat in here!
  5. That sounds like a t-shirt idea. take it and run with it my friend...take it and run with it!
  6. it is time for this league to see the splendor that is our O-Face!
  7. you are low-balling the kid then eh? i expect above .260 easily BP's predicted line (prior to this season's big AAA year): .235/.307/.336 I'm definitely hoping the huge numbers in AAA this year are a harbinger of future fortunes for Soto, but the fact that he's never been good with the bat before still has me worried. He's still an improvement over what we've had - I just wonder how much of one. first of all...his name is soto is four the magic number? theriot fontenot soto cedeno O boy! Zambrano and not from our system, but Soriano i know, i was waiting for someone to catch this... so...maybe 6 is the number then...the number of the beast!!!
  8. Not sure who the three teams are but I heard that the other GMs are referring to them as Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest. Bowden, Daniels, and Krivsky? Krivsky may give us Dunn if we can convince him that Izzy contributes a lot of RGIs and can double as a relief pitcher. he does have a wicked screw ball
  9. i am going to go ahead and take the stance that the chances of him contributing the same level (or lower) of performance as hill/bowen are way lower than him adding much more IMO

  12. exactly...please pinch me because i cannot believe one of our black holes has just been vaporized!
  13. you are low-balling the kid then eh? i expect above .260 easily
  14. Hill is out of options. Assuming he's the one leaving to make room, he'll be going to a different organization. Hill, Isturis, Eyre, Jones and Murton for Griffey? :D I WISH....but i heard the report Levine is giving that if izturis is traded then Ronny will be recalled from Triple A Is this the same Hendry that was there when Baker was there? I love what Lou and JH have been doing lately. Lou has really been a revelation. This appears to be the kind of team Lou was hoping he'd get when he went to Tampa. One with a good mix of veterans and rooks. This would be downright the best case scenario...Bring in HOF, LH hitting righfielder who is great defensively, continue to develop stud CF prospect, replace no hitting C and SS with young guys who have been hitting very well at the AAA level...seriously...is this the Cubs we're talking about? yes, it is the cubs! sprinkled with a little bit of magic 8-)
  15. He's in the last year of his contract and I'm assuming the Cubs would pick some of the remaining money up, so he would be a fairly cheap "solution" to anyone desperately needing middle infield help. That's desparation at its finest. The Orioles are playing Brandon Fahey at SS, they are desperation defined. Sadly--or maybe more accurate--amazingly, the Red Sox have Lugo there and we all know how bad he's been. Izzy would be a cheap help to them perhaps. Just spitballing here is all. lol...one of my god friends is a sox fan...oh my...i would love to hear his reaction to that one! but...honestly...i would think that lowrie would be pulled up way before entertaining any thoughts about last night's waffle house leftovers
  16. i wish hendry was my jedi apprentice...his first task would be to acquire adam miller for izturis straight up help me obi wan...you are my only hope!
  17. It could mean they realized they were waiting for HENRY BLANCO to make it back to the team and help things. QFT
  18. Hill is out of options. Assuming he's the one leaving to make room, he'll be going to a different organization. Hill, Isturis, Eyre, Jones and Murton for Griffey? :D I WISH....but i heard the report Levine is giving that if izturis is traded then Ronny will be recalled from Triple A even better!!! god...let all of this work out!!! yes...then...get another bat in here i might be able to take my cedeno teddy bear out of the closet again~!
