For real, who would hit into all of those double plays then? Its hard to find someone who can ground to the SS that consistantly. -
I watched that inning and he didnt appear to have the slider at all, he threw fastballs almost exclusively. I think he just needs more work to get a feel for his breaking stuff.

When watched on windowed mode if you had the highest quality it was an HD quality picture. Pretty kool really. Im looking forward to the season and being able to watch multiple games at once on the same screen.

The US vs Canada game is using the new player if anyone wants to check it out. Im running at full quality and it looks great, the camera shots that show large portions of the field at once can get a little blurry, but for the most part the quality is great, can actually run it in full screen and it looks good. I have a very beefy connection and computer though so your results may vary. I went through a rough patch earlier in the game where quality was droping to like 2 bars and it looked like crap but the last couple innings have been good.

I think just go to the "download center" on mlb.com. Download the latest version of flash player and the "nex def" plugin. I believe that's all that's needed. The nexdef plugin is still not availible on thier download pg. It just says "coming soon".

You need a program from mlb.com called nexdev but its not even availible yet. They arent making it availible untill they release the new player I guess. You can find system reqs here: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/help/faq_system_requirements.jsp The links to the dowload center will just refresh the page though untill they release the new stuff.

When the heck is the new player going to be availible anyone know? I cant find a schedule for the spring training games anywhere (link anyone?). Are they going to have any of the Cubs spring training games? I signed up for premium for the upcoming season. I have a 20mbps cable connection and a beefy desktop so I'm really looking forward to trying the new player. New monitor gets here tomorrow.

NO reason to show them Marmol when we're trailing. The starter didn't go deep so this is what you get. I know that's the strategy, but it is like waving a white flag. Im not actually watching the game at this point so I dont know if he's made an apperance but they may was well bring in Howry to pitch the 9th.

This game is very sad, I can see us losing tommorow then coming back to take the next 2 in LA. Maybe we'll get good Dempster in game 5? *sigh* Im hugely depressed.

I think the Dodgers and Mets are about equal. I think Cubs in 4. People on this board grossly underestimate Dodgers pitching. They are far and away better than the Mets in the pitching department. The Mets have Santana and a whole bunch of suck. The Dodgers rotation is almost as good as ours. We have the type of offense that could easily decided to sleep through the first 3 games and get swept.

lol Well every Cubs fan in the world knew that was coming, but Lou? he is freakin clueless. I dont want to see that clown anywhere near a playoff game. Why? How can Lou justify using someone that bad? I mean he throws 1 pitch a low 90s fastball, anyone in the majors can hit him.

Gaudin has looked back to normal today, I really wish he was part of the playoff bulpen, much rather him than Howry. Im sure Howry is gonna cost us at least 1 game *sigh*.

If the Cubs and Mets win today, there won't be a playoff tomorrow. The Mets would win the Wild Card today. Huh? Arent they tied for the WC right now? So if they both win they will have identicle records yes? Meaning they would have to play a game to decide the winner of the WC? The Brewers are the team tied with the Mets, they're the ones who need to do the same thing as them to force a playoff. Cubs win Mets win gives the Mets a 1-game lead with 0 to play. Yeah, I figured it out my math is bad today. I dunno what I want then. Id like to see Gooz continue this domination though. Id also like Soriano to start getting some good atbats in, he's looked really lost.

I rooting for the Cubs to win and the Mets to win and then the mets winning a playoff game tommorow. I think the Mets are a much easier matchup for the Cubs.
