  1. Soriano had no chance at that ball, but it's far from a pointless game I disagree, it was quite catchable if Soriano actaully runs rather than jogs to the baseball. I hope its just that he doesnt care about the outcome of the game, I cant understand any other reason for the complete lack of effort on every ball hit his way tonight.
  2. I don't find it amusing. I DO NOT want brewers in over mets. Philly Mets Brewers LA CC's workload Sheets Elbow Bullpen Defense In a 7 games series that team doesn't scare me at all. Santana/Pedro is a pretty tough combo in a short series in OCT. Are you unaware that Pedro is terrible? Yes but so is Suppan and you see how thats working for us. seriously? in a game 0 people on the cubs seriously care about, we have 1 run in 4 innings against a bad pitcher, so we want to avoid them in the playoffs? Yeah no problem, we'll just flip the switch on come playoff time like we did last year right?

So we should avoid terrible pitchers because we have 1 run off Suppan tonight? I thought someone was saying we shouldnt be scared of Pedro cause he's not great. Im just saying this offense has a habit of making mediocre pitching look really good so who cares what the matchups look like.

  5. Our hitters are swinging at pitches way out of the strike zone, its sickening.
  6. I think he was only thrown 1 strike the entire at bat and everything else wasnt close.
  7. I actually do think Marquis could pitch well out of the bulpen, at least better than Howry or Shark has.
  8. What is Howry's era now? Or were those Cott's runs?
  9. LOL What do you figure the scouting report on Howry looks like? Bob Howry: Throws a low 90s fastball. Cannot locate any other pitch.
  10. The defense by the backups tonight has been pretty shotty.
  11. Hmm, Sutcliff seems to think Jeff was tipping his pitches. The way they showed it, seems he was right. Hope someone tells him about that.
  12. So the Marlins fired Fredi Gonzales? Why? hmph
  13. Yes. With Zambrano starting game three. Well, you'll likely get this exact same matchup again. and likely the same results
  14. ? Are you watching the same game I was? He only threw 2 strikes and they were fouled off.
  15. On a possitive note it was nice to see Fukudome have a couple of hits tonight, hopefully he keeps it up.
  16. You may not know this, not being a Cub fan and all, but the Cubs recently came back from a 6-2 deficit in the 9th inning. Yes but that was when we needed wins.
  17. lol Well guys this one isnt even going to be entertaining. Oh well, I guess I shall seek my entertainment elsewhere.
  18. I love those commercials, where he finds something "legendary" but doesn't notice it and talks about the internet. The latest one Ive seen he's in some frozen tundralike wasteland and there are Snow Yeti's or something doing stuff in the background. Yeah Ive gotten a hoot out of that series of comercials.
  19. Nice job of getting out of the jam there by Marshall.
  20. Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring and say I have enjoyed your work this year Len. I was a big fan of Steve and Harry's days but you and Bob have been enjoyable. I like that you seem like such a down to earth guy and a regular fan, you dont have a "know it all" attitude toward whats going on. Stoney had the tendency to be that way sometimes. Anyways thanks for giving us another great year of Cubs games I'll miss you guys during the playoffs, I'll be listening to Ron and Pat on XM. It would be kool if they somehow worked you and Bob in occasionly during the playoffs or at least brought you guys in during the pregame stuff, but I guess its not in your contracts lol. Stop by during the playoffs from time to time and let us know your thoughts. Thanks for posting.
  21. Thats kool that Lenn was just hanging out in the stands watching the game as a fan. They were just interviewing him on CSN.
  22. Something wrong with Wood? Ron said something about Marmol possibly going 2 innings.
