  1. So what happened to Gorzelanny for those of us that cant see or hear
  2. Why on earth is Baker playing RF? Is that a gameday error? wtf *sigh*
  3. I just wish come the trade deadline they'd trade off some players and go into a rebuilding mode. I knew this team was going to be mediocre at best and certainly not a playoff team, they didn't do much in the offseason to improve things. *sigh*
  4. 20; he'll turn 21 in August. Tim Wilken has compared McNutt to Cashner, which seems pretty accurate from the reports I've read on McNutt. Good FB, good slider, still needs some refinement, but has the raw tools to be effective as a setup man/closer. 6 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 7 K, 2 BB. His night should be done. Thanks for the info very nice night for the Nutt.
  5. Is there a way to follow the Peoria game? I cant seem to get the radio feed to work.
  6. and another double for Vitters in his second at bat. He is on fire!
  7. Well Castro doubled and scored so, I like it.
  8. anyone aware of a pirate feed of the video or audio of this game? To cheap to pay :(
  9. Diamond's line: 6.1 IP 4hits 1 Earned run 3 BB 4 SO ERA now down to 1.65
  10. Even if he has his stuff back, he'll have to improve his control to have any impact as a late inning reliever. Whats wrong with him as a starter?

  12. Just remember rain makes corn, corn makes whisky... and you may or may not know the rest...
  13. I dont know if its any more or less likely than the chances that Theriot continues to produce at his current pace (very unlikely). I tend to think he'd be at least as good offensively and he would be an upgrade defensively.
  14. ... decent start from Cashner tonight
  15. I like the new Carlos Silva this year I hope he keeps up whatever voodoo or deal with the devil he has going on to perform this way.
  16. What exactly is it that would cause you to believe anything other than that we will be a mediocre team? Id rather we sucked than be mediocre at least then we'd have a better draft position. We aren't going to suck but we arent going to make the playoffs either so whats the point?
  17. Its going to be ugly there is almost nothing about the 2010 Cubs that excites me. Under .500 wouldn't suprise me at all. We might be stuck in mediocre limbo for quite a while actually, this is the most uninterested Ive been in the Cubs during an offseason that I can remember. I honestly don't see a lot of hope, unless its coming from the minor leagues or something.
  18. yeah Cashner having some real control issues
  19. Well he has walked David Cook to start the 5th =( He stole second then was driven home on a single. There goes the shutout and no hitter. And he's pulled after 66 pitches, I wonder if he's hurt
  20. Why cant I get the smokies broadcast tonight? Im having to listen to the Barron's. Bleh Long is owning the smokies hitters tonight, gonna be a pitchers duel...
  21. Yeah he's dealing I thought he was going to walk Marrero there in the 4th he had him 3-0 but he came back to K him.
  22. Carpenter off to a nice start 1-2-3 1st with 2 Ks 3 up 3 down in the 2nd w/ 1 K another side set down in order in the 3rd, a pop up and 2 groundouts perfect again in the 4th 2 more Ks and a groundout
  23. I like Brenly more, and wouldn't trade him for Stone, but Steve does not suck as an analyst. He isn't god's gift to color commentary as some claim, but he is, at the very least, very good at his job. I do find it funny that very little of this Steve Stone hate was to be heard before the 2004 drama. I think people's distaste over Stone's titanic ego and borderline obsession with the Cubs has clouded their opinion of his work. Id trade Brenly for Stone anytime, I loved Stone he and Harry were my favorite broadcast team of all time.
