    Daytona hasn't been nearly as bad for rainouts this year as it was last year.

    I kind of wonder if he wasn't brought in as a stop gap until they have a good team. I mean if they didn't think they were going to field a competitive team for a while maybe that's why they ultimately went with Sveum. Sveum doesn't seem like a brilliant strategist or a great players guy. He's just kind of a middle of the road average manager. Or maybe it just seems that way because of the piss poor team he's got to deal with. I do like the defensive shifts he's used.

    He's probably adding 10ish pitches per start, so I could see 3 IP a few starts from now. Doubt he gets to 4 in a start this year. Do you think they will get him innings during the instructs or some other offseason league? It just seems like he could really use the extra experience since he started so late. What do they normaly do with guys in his situation? By the time he really gets a feel for his pitches they'll be shutting him down? Seems kinda counterproductive.

    come on now, mid-70s? Even in his final season his fastball was in the 80s. Point taken though about success with lower velocity.

    Pointless and detrimental to Vitters development to call him up to sit on the bench, they must really not think much of him as a prospect. *sigh* oh well

    Grounded out in his 4th at bat at least he took a pitch this time.

    Strikeout in 3 pitches again for Baez. None of them close according to the announcers and all of them offspeed stuff same thing last at bat, and he's swinging out of his shoes.

    He's gonna be good. How's his defense? I was excited when we got him and it took him some time but he's really come around. I wonder if he will sniff AA this year... probably start there next year.

    Again - lol wut? good if you ask me. If we make a trade with the Dodgers we are more than likely going to get ripped off, because they figure they can fleece us and we have no leverage.
