    There are myriad ways and reasons he can be traded for "a player who is already better than he is". But to be crystal clear, in my opinion the Cubs are in no position to trade him for minor leaguers. If they trade him the need to get better by the trade. It is not a good sign for 2014 if they trade him and don't get better. I don't see why it matters since they aren't likely to be competing for the division with or without him this hear. He's been very inconsistent with occasional bouts of greatness. He's shown enough that we could probably entice someone to give up a good package of prospects for him this offseason. My opinion is that he's a mid rotation starter but can bring back more value than that in a trade, so they should pull the trigger in that scenario. I realize there are people who think he's a future ace, but I don't see it.

    I personally don't see how. it makes the rooftop owners look bad. I don't live in Chicago but its hard for me to understand why anyone would be mad at the Ricketts family when they are fully funding this thing. Especially since the Whitesox are playing in a fully public funded stadium. I sure don't blame them for not starting construction when the rooftops could sue and have anything they start halted. That would be a huge waste of money.

    The good thing is the White Sox will probably pick some guy that should have gone in the second round so it's basically like having the 3rd pick. ??? They picked Courtney Hawkins and Tim Anderson the last two years plus Chris Sale in 2010. All solid picks given their draft position. I think he was implying the cheapness of Reinsdorf when it comes to the draft. Sadly that's no longer an issue since Reinsdorf got his new CBA. Sorry didn't realize he had changed his tune.

    They actually schedule some games like this earlier in the year (the 10am starts) I dont understand why they don't play some make-up games at that time. How are they going to figure out playoffs with all these rainouts? Seems like a mess.
