    A pretty disappointing pick. A bat with no position is nothing to get excited about. Seems like most reports say he won't stick behind the plate and his defense in left field is substandard.

    I guess I wouldn't complain about that! But Betts is just such a unique player. 7% K-rate while generating some pop, showing patience, stealing bases and capable of playing anywhere but the battery is pretty cool. The thought of getting Betts makes me drool Im just not sure how likely Boston is to make a deal with Theo. I wonder if they'd wind up moving him to CF.

    He wasn't on it. Fujikawa going to 60 day opened a spot for him. He was in Iowa So does tone know hat happened to Fujikawa? He was pulled from that start in Arizona and never really heard anything about why. Anyone know? I can't find the tweet now, but basically it mentioned that no, there is no news. He reinjured himself a couple weeks ago and hasn't been heard from since. Yeah, usually we would have heard something about the nature of the re-injury by now. Wierd

    I don't know anything about Fedde or Gordon can you give me a quick summary of what you know about them? Gordon is a definite shortstop, plus speed (but not as fast as his brother Dee). Better hitter, getting bigger with more power. Fedde is tall and skinny so he's protectable. Works 92-95, has hit 97. Good, potential future plus slider. Great athlete. Law is definitely higher than him than others. Are they Highschool or college guys? What schools? Gordon is a high school kid from the Orlando area. Fedde is at UNLV. Thanks for the info!

    Do people forget the way he went out? I haven't forgotten 98 and the years prior but I remember what a dick the guy was at the end. I don't know what the current regime has against him, ped accusations aside. I don't care much if they kiss and make up or not... They did kinda create the monster though.

    Apparently not to the Angels who had a trade in place for him with Dan Haren coming to the Cubs. The Cubs backed out because they didn't like Haren's medicals. Haren was bad last year, but had a team option that the Cubs could've declined, saving them Marmol's dumbass 9.8M contract. I guess I didn't remember hearing about that. I guess that does suck then...

    Nothing I guess Marmol not being able to throw a fastball over the plate had absolutely nothing to do with his value at all...

    Marmol was essentially released, and had some value that offseason(or in the least could've been dumped for Haren, only to NT Haren and get out from his contract.) I don't remember the last time Marmol had value it's been a few years, I don't think we could have gotten anything of value for him that offseason that he was "essentially released". Marmol wasn't "essentially released" during the offseason. And, like SSR said, at the very least he could've netted Haren. He couldn't locate his fastball and everybody in baseball knew it.

    CJ gives up another run, Inf hit then he stole 2nd then there was a blooper that allowed him to score. He's not doing much to hold runners close. Then another runner scores from 3rd on a grounder to the SS. Ball not really being hit hard... but bad results
