  1. Watched the game this evening and this Thames bloke. He's obviously going to serve a suspension at some point in the future, yes? His forearms are ridiculous. Do they test these guys in the Korean baseball league?
  2. And also Wrigley's super scary thunderstorms!!!! Bud Norris == Roger Clemens Also, that [expletive] shirt.
  3. Can we get this thread up to 108 pages and then close the MF'r up?
  4. Appreciate you joining us, but seems kind of strange to go out of your way to bring negativity to the thread. OTHER USERS POSTING FROM THIS IP POSTS tawfiqmp Let him post a few times and then ban him. It worked last time, correct?!
  5. I'm a little worried that this is what I'm going to have to do. I have MLB.tv and a cable login, but not one of the providers doing MLB Network streaming. I've had mixed success using a VPN to tell MLB.tv I'm somewhere else, thankfully the early game should be a good guinea pig to test on. See my post above. unlocator.com I've used it all season for Cubs games when they are in Cincy/Atlanta because of blackouts. I've also used it for the playoffs last year and this year so far. It's 5 bucks for the month and it works.
  6. unlocator.com is your friend. if you are already an mlb.tv subscriber, all you have to do is enable that and use their DNS servers. Enjoy.
  7. My brother and I (wekse) were at a Nashville Sounds game sitting next to the best father/son team hecklers/commentators ever. A couple from that night. The pitcher gave up 4 runs before recording an out. The catcher came up to bat htting .179. The father/son yells out to the pitcher "Finally, here's someone you can retire!" The catcher proceeds to hit one into left center for a double clearing the bases. The father yells out to the pitcher "He only had a buck 79, but he went shopping at the gap!" Later in the game they started picking on Tony Campana as he was leaning on the dugout rail as he didn't start and wasn't playing. They kept yelling "Hey Camp, throw me a ball." Tony wouldn't acknowledge them at all. Finally, one of them says, "Aww c'mon Camp, I tell ya what. When I own the Sounds I'll put you in!" Tony turned around and chuckled. They were relentless with regards to picking on Campana. At a later time in the game one of them says. "Look Camp, we know you aren't going to get in the game, so I'll tell you what...I'll knock out a few bricks in back of the dugout and you can crawl out. It'll be like the Longest Yard."

  15. Well when Michael Johnson broke the world record in the 200, there were people wondering the same thing. They thought he passed the threshold of what a human being should be able to do. They used to believe that your heart would fail at that speed. I don't think we'll ever see anyone go faster than 9.3 in the 100 or 19 seconds in the 200. But then again, they used to think the four minute mile was unattainable too. there are many scientists who study physics of the body and bio-mechanics of activities the body takes part in who say we are nowhere close to the human speed limit. we are only limited by how fast our muscles respond to electro-mechanical signals from our brains. i would not be surprised if someone doesn't break 9 seconds within 6-10 years. biologically, we aren't close to the max speed a human could run.
  16. ...and, one last update. larussa gets nothing in lawsuit: http://mashable.com/2009/07/07/twitter-lawsuit/
