    That's the way the season has gone... up and down, just up a lot longer and higher than the downs are. I'm sure we'll pull out of this and play good ball soon.

    but not like this. I saw the waves in our season and thought that it was an appropriate time to start losing some ball games so that we would be peaking again in Oct, but this is getting worrysome. Lets hope for healthiness and Go Cubs.

    How long before we ship him off to Oakland? Good OBP for an 18yo and should only get better and as of now, he doesn't K very often at all.

    I'm not sure... the BoSox were accused of putting a camera in center field somewhere and somehow relaying info to the batter. Sounds far fetched, but I really can't think of a better reason for us to be so good at home and so enemic on the road.

I know the BoSox were accused of cheating a couple of years ago. I doubt it's happening, but I figure it's a possibility.

    I actually think that we need to learn how to win some games like this. Most of our wins seem to be blow outs.

    I agree. He was playing deep. You can't play a deep left at Minute Maid... it's either short stop or shallow left. That's it.

    Geo hit a long drive to left center that bounced high off the wall. The yellow homer line runs vertically on that portion of the wall. It looked like Geo's shot hit just to the right of the line and should have been called a regular homerun. The umpires said it hit the line and was in play. The ball took a crazy bounce off the wall and went back over the CF's head and way out into the center field grass. Geo scored on an inside the park homer. Thanks man, just another reason why Minute Maid park is the worst in baseball. Too easy to hit homeruns... even inside the park ones.

    We don't seem to have that problem on the Razorbacks message board that I frequent. The law in Arkansas is no scalping, so the rule on the board is face value or below, no exceptions. That being said, we still have people that can't make games or just don't feel like going that are able to sell their tickets quickly. I have no problem paying over face value as long as I'm not getting shafted (30 dollars over face for two USC (west)/Arkansas football tickets were more than reasonable). The whole "true fan" thing wasn't meant in the context that it was taken. What was meant, is that this would provide you a way to jettison your tickets to someone that really wanted them for a reasonable price and the transaction could be done quickly. On the contrary, with the laws being as they seem to be in Chicago, this would also open up an avenue for someone to buy up the tickets here at face and sell them somewhere else for a profit, which I wouldn't care to see.

    The purpose of them being face value is one, I'm in Arkansas, so I don't know the Illinois law, but two is so that true Cubs fans can get to the game and support the team without spending an arm and a leg.

    Has anyone thought about putting a ticket forum up? The only rule would be, they have to be sold at face value. The reason that I ask is that I'm coming home from the Middle East in June and my daughter and I are considering going up to Chicago from Little Rock to catch a game sometime there after. Neither of us have ever been to Wrigley but it looks like all the weekend games are sold out and we can't hit a game during the week. If any of you have any tickets for sale, let me know and I might be interested. Thanks.
