  1. ha, almost beat ya I'm sorry you have to listen to these morons too. Honestly whats up with these horrible stealing attempts?
  2. Nationals Announcers: What do the Cubs do with Mark DeRosa when Soriano comes back!? Are... are you serious?
  3. Rotoworld likes him:
  4. Being almost completely uneducated in the world of college players, I kind of find myself hoping that Brohm is still around when they pick.
  5. Wow KC really had a nice draft.
  6. Wow this trade still hasn't happened yet? I'm totally shocked...
  7. And now I must brace myself for another night of arguably the worst announcing team in the majors.
  8. Man we need to stop facing so many freaking lefties. At this rate Felix may never play.
  9. Hahahaha poor Andy...
  10. I'm glad I'm not a Nats fan because if I had to listen to this TV team they have, I'm positive I'd kill myself.
  11. no offense, but this sentiment is idiotic. How so? I mean I'd like him to keep it up for as long as he can but I really don't think he will. Believing, as I do, that Cedeno is a much more viable option at SS, I'd rather he have the remaining spot in the starting lineup when Alf's return sends DeRo back to 2B in 5 days. Seeing as Lou likes to play the hot hand, it would ultimately be in the teams best interest if Cedeno got that spot. If he and Riot both stay hot for now or just play around the same level, odds are Riot is getting that spot which would also probably lead to him getting more time even when he inevitably cools down. okay. i think lieber is, overall, a better option for the starting rotation than dempster. i also think that marshall is a better pitcher than jason marquis, so obviously i'd prefer that marshall get more innings than marquis. shall i start rooting for two of our five starters to get drilled over the next month so that we can get the rotation that i feel is best? Thats not a terribly fair analogy. Having one player in a lineup of 8 cool down does not equal a pitcher getting shelled.

  13. Would have liked some more Pie, but I can live with that. EDIT: Forgot Perez was a lefty, nvm. Hopefully Riot hurries up his return to reality so we can bench him when Alf returns.
  14. I just want to pummel the O's
  15. Seriously. Ryan Theriot hit a single yesterday. I want you to find me a quote from anyone that says that Ryan Theriot will never hit a single. I'll wait. Take all the time you need. Oh? Nobody has said that? Okay then. The argument against Ryan Theriot is not that he will never, ever do anything, and will hit .000/.000/.000 with zero putouts and zero assists. The argument is that over the course of a full season, Ryan Theriot is unlikely to be especially productive at shortstop - his median forecast is basically right at replacement level, and his high-end forecast still falls short of league average production from his position. He will occasionally have good days, sure - I'm sure I can find some game-winning hits from Neifi Perez if I go back and check the play-by-play records. But over time, the likelihood is that the bad days will outnumber the good. That said. If for whatever reason you will only be satisfied with Ryan Theriot's detractors if we say bad things about him even on the good days - I am there. I am so there. If that's really all that you need to... well, I have no idea why this seems to bother you, but if it does, I will go ahead and provide that valuable service to you. So far as I am capable, I will go ahead and find a way to communicate to you, personally, Ryan Theriot's worth as a starting shortstop - in game threads, in postgame discussions... any time, any place. You're welcome in advance. I think I am in love with this post! Welcome to the boards. Me too, because just what these boards need is more condescending posts. Somebody has to fill the Meph-void. Hopefully Colin loves the draft, because Meph was almost essential on draft day. What happened to Meph? I take it from this that he dosen't post here any more? Tragic really. One day he managed to convince himself that he was so much smarter than everyone else that he just internally combusted.
  16. Why does Fontenot keep getting playing time? Seriously.
  17. Wow that was weird. Just be ready the next time up, their BP is really shaky.
