There's also a lot of speculation on Cubs twitter that this is purely an unloading move to make room for Zobrist+. I just have a hard time seeing Theo+Co sell low on Castro just to open up space. Seems really unlike them.

I'd just like to note that with the recent acquisition of Bojack Horseman aside, I'm so grateful Theo and Co. seem to have a significant focus on great character guys.

I will be checked many times on this undoubtedly, but so long as nobody was raped or murdered lets get the whole story together first. A month+ later and there's still two sides to this whole thing is at least somewhat telling. So everything is okay as long as no one gets raped or murdered? :banghead: Yea I didn't even want to touch that because I might just end up smashing my computer repeatedly.

His girlfriend was allegedly choked and HIDING IN THE BUSHES when the police arrived. He discharged a firearm 8 times and had to be locked in a room by his friends. Bargain bin jokes might strike some folks as a bit flat.

If the choice is him or bores like Odorizzi/Cobb, then yes please. He's up there with Chapman for me as a trade target, lots of want. What do you give up for him? I'd be 110% OK with Baez as the headliner. I'd be slightly less enthused by Soler but still generally thrilled. I'm a big Gausman fan and I think there's something to be said for the O's just not doing a great job developing a very talented group of pitching talent, tinstaapp be damned. I really think he could be a #2 in this league. -
Been rumored today. They should trade for him instead of some less cool guy in Tampa. This is the right choice.
