what do you expect them to say? "well, the cubs just picked up arguably the worst hitter in major league baseball." There's a difference between reporting the trade and glorifying it's completion. Everyone I mentioned has been speaking of it in glowing terms.

I haven't been following Kendall at all. So why is everyone in the media (Len & Bob, Pat Ron, along with the ESPN guys) saying this is a good pickup when most people here hate the trade?

Nothing like using up all of his options early. They use one option only this year no matter how many times they send him out. Hey Bruce! Any word on who's going down? I'm sure he can't tell us until it's officially released.
