  1. Frandsen out 6-3 very efficient 1-2-3 inning
  2. He does that quite a bit. It seems. yea, has he even walked at all this year? i don't think so and he has gone 3-0 and 3-1 a lot Coming into the AB his BA and OBP were the same.
  3. Cain really hasn't been sharp. The 3-1 pitch Z swung at was ball 4. It was the second time today he could have walked back to back batters.
  4. Klesko K's to end the inning Less Libby please. ;)
  5. Winn reaches on a forcepla. error on through to 1B--ball gets away and runner advances to 2B 2 down
  6. Fontenot K's on a 3-2 pitch after falling behing 0-2. DeRo caught stealing. He swung at ball 4
  7. Blah, walking the 8th place hitting with a pitcher hitting under .100 is no good. Cain could have leadoff the next inning.
  8. What did he do? Stopped a linedrive with his pitching hand. :x
  9. The decision to give Rami the day off had already been made prior to yesterday's game. It's not like there's some rule that says you have to stick by such decisions. You have to adapt to what else is going on. I agree 100%. Screw the future health of our all star third baseman. Todays game will decide the penant. Or you could wait 1-2 days so Floyd gets back and we're no longer facing one of the best starters in the NL. Floyd is in the lineup today.
  10. Someone is trying to make big money on "It's Gonna Happen." The t-shirts, professionally made signs, and blue wrist bands (I read that someone sent DeRo a box of them).
  11. The decision to give Rami the day off had already been made prior to yesterday's game. It's not like there's some rule that says you have to stick by such decisions. You have to adapt to what else is going on. I agree 100%. Screw the future health of our all star third baseman. Todays game will decide the penant. Don't forget, every loss and every win is equal. The losses in April, those killed us. Whether or not those April losses "killed" them has yet to be determined... We'll see if they make the postseason.
  12. DLee can't be on the bench during the suspension. I guess he'll be watching on TV from the clubhouse.
  13. The Leadoff Man: In addition to DLee getting injured last night, they were thinking that this is the best time to serve the suspension because ARI has no LH starters in the upcoming series. The Cubs will put Floyd in the lineup during Lee's absence. It turns out that DLee was only going to be available to PH today anyway...
  14. It isn't bad managing. Because of Arams leg he must have schedule days off at specfic intervals. I don't really know the specifics, but is that really true? They could just wait four more games? You have to be willing to sacrifice one game, if it comes to that, so that Aramis doesn't miss real time. Zambrano is in a streak where he hasn't allowed more than 3 runs in a game (and he did that once). You have to trust that Z will hold them down and the offense will give him just enough runs. Ram will be back in there tomorrow.
  15. Which could be a very bad thing. :( No lefty kryptonite today Z. It's official, Corey Provius said DLee is starting to serve his suspension today.
  16. There will be time for the Cubs to gain ground (like when the Brewers play on the road).
  17. I think it's fair to directly compare Kendall and Aramis. Both are former Pirates. Both are right-handed hitters. This is never going to end is it? Not until the end of the season, when the Cubs finish out of the playoffs and Hendry reprises his 2006 mantra: "I just can't put my finger on what went wrong." Predicting the future? This is silly.
