Does anyone else feel like they should be watching the RedSox play defense like this? (covers eyes/face with hands) And its 4-2 *Birds on a Schumaker HR to right.
Jason LaRue. Please. Only the T*Birds. HRs and then long singles off the Mahnsta. Only for "them" would guys like LaRue be an offensive problem for the opposition.
Cubs lose 3 in TB, as the Cards get swept at home by the Royals. Cubs sweep 3 from ChiSox, as the Cards take 3 in Beantown. In effect, Cubs gain nothing in the last 6 games (post-Sunday night). As much as I would kill for a sweep of the SouthSiders, I could so totally see this series of events playing out. The Cards aren't sweeping the Red Sox. Most likely not, but the pessimistic thoughts are always near at hand.

That's 2 Es on Lugo in the same inning isn't (that allowed the runner to reach because he pulled Youkilis(?) off the bag with his high and errant throw earlier??
And the "whammy" that is the Cardinals on all things Cubs is threatening to break out again. 1st/2nd, no outs, after BoSox fail to score with bases loaded and 1 down the previous half-inning.
No way STL wins this game. you must not follow many Cardinal games. I don't "follow" Cards games, but even I know that if there is a way for the RedSox to either look like arse or blow a game/games in a weekend series vs a team that is heavily injured, it'll be this one (vs the T*Birds). Although... how the Royals went into StL and swept them, only the Baseball Gods can answer that one.
I know what you mean. They like to talk about the most inane and well known things about other teams. Anyone who follows baseball knew about the Cubs' wanting to get BR this past spring.
Cards have bases loaded, 1 down, T4 in Boston. Make that 2 down, Lowell catches a bullet at 3rd. And BOS gets out of it, on a fly out to LF to end the threat and the inning! Phew!! :good:
A couple scores that nobody cares about, that kinda stand out (to me). 6-0 LAA, in Philly*, B6 4-1 Cincy, in the Bronx, T7 2-0 Twins, over ARI* (in 4H Dome), B3 * - NL Division leaders
55 pitches for Suppan in 1 2/3 innings. Gave up 6 runs, responsible for all 3 on base now. - Not that it matter, DiFelice struck the batter out. 6-2 BAL, after 1 1/2 innings in Beertown.
