Exactly. Even giving up the run, seeing those constant 97s, 98s, and 99s on the gun were goosebump-inducing!! And it wasn't just hitting those high heat numbers, he had lots of movement on most of them. Just plain nasty.
If Shark learns to control his emotions, learns an extra pitch other than the fastball/slider, keeps the fastball at 95+ as it currently is... he would be DEVASTATING as a closer.
Ward probly maybe was the best guy to have up in that situation (says something about the LH batting options off our bench when Fonty starts)..... but totally saw that outcome happening. :roll: He fought off a bunch of tough pitches, which was ok... but in the end, nothing to show for it.
