  1. Lou must feel really bad for the Brewers and what they're going through. Seems like he'll do anything imaginable to give them this game... Howry???
  2. My guess is that should we clinch this by Friday/Saturday, which in all likelihood should happen, Demp will be skipped his next start.
  3. Nicely done, Demp. You've done your job.
  4. If Kendall hurts us here because of Lou's idiocy, the Howry's gonna hit the fan.
  5. Methinks we might be needing a few more runs tonight
  6. Interesting stuff Bruce.. Not necessarily what I wanted to read...but thanks for the legwork!
  7. I'm sure with this being a regularly scheduled WCIU game, I'll be treated to a night of ESPNEWS out here.
  8. LOL, the justintv link is behind even gameday. hey Im just happy to be able to see it whatever way i can!
  9. I really see no possible way to play the games in Houston, or for the Cubs to make it to Houston tom. The city is going to be complete chaos till probably at least Tuesday. This isn't something you wait out only to find out you can't play on Sunday. They should be finalizing plans tonight to guarantee a game being played on Sunday. At this point, can the Astros get out? You'd have to think they'd be able to bus to either San Antonio or Austin.
  10. Personally, I think Atlanta is the fairest option available from an Astros standpoint... their travel to Florida for their next series would be easier... plus the Cubs travel from Atlanta to Chicago would really be no different than flying from Houston to Chicago... so the Cubs really don't suffer either.. Milwaukee would put the Astros at a significant disadvantage and the Cubs at a significant advantage travelwise. The Cubs could obviously bus to and from Milwaukee, while Houston would have to fly to Milwaukee, then all the way down to Miami following the series. While I would be all for a series in Milwaukee, I could definitely understand the Astros beef with it. There's a slight chance for rain both Sunday and Monday in Atlanta, and it's supposed to be hot and humid... Maybe the rationale for playing in Milwaukee would be to make 100% sure the games would get in no matter what. Lastly, and considerr the source, and take it for what it's worth.... I heard David Kaplan mention briefly that Toronto was a city that was getting a little bit of play for this series as well.
  11. Couple of things I've heard in watching some of the Houston TV Stations coverage of the hurricane... They've said that the last time there was flooding comparable to the flooding that's expeced from Ike... it took upwards of nine months to get the oil refineries back to full capacity.... that leads me to believe that the flooding damage in general is expected to be extensive...which would suggest playing in Houston is as close as it gets to impossible.. Secondly... I'm confident that even if the Cubs couldn't fly into Houston, or the Astros couldn't fly out... it would be feasible to bus to either Austin or San Antonio and use those airports, which will not be nearly as affected..
  12. :beg: :beg: :beg: This would be amazing if it happens.
  13. And there could be a bunch more PPD tomorrow. Looks like we're not the only ones getting Howry'd on by mother nature... There'll be doubleheaders up the wazoo the next couple days.
  14. Don't be so scared of them, they're just playing the Pirates It's not just the Pirates they're beating. Remember what happened last week in Chicago?
  15. Gonna need to do something called scoring runs for that to happen. A 0-0 tie won't get that done
  16. Wow is Rich dealing tonight... 46 pitches through 4 according to GameDay
  17. And they're through 6 and a half in Philly... Still 5-3 Phils
