Looking ahead at tomorrow's matchup makes me think tonight's game is much more important to win.... Even though we have Harden going tomorrow, Dave Bush has been really really good at home this year, and dominant in day games. 0.99 WHIP at home, 0.74 in Day games..
Parra's splits are very telling.... he's much better at home than on the road, 3.15 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, .246 BAA at home vs. 4.50, 1.60, .290 on the road. However, he has a 1.51 WHIP and a .275 BAA against right handed hitters vs a 1.34/.219 vs lefties. Think our right handed dominated lineup gets to him. He also pitches much better indoors than outdoors. Indoor ERA 2.91, WHIP 1.31, BAA .239 -- Outdoors it goes to 4.43, 1.62 .288 Last year, he started once against us and we got to him early.. 3.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 9.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP Let's do it boys!
Listening to WLW out of Cincinnati this afternoon on my way to work on XM, as I do every now and then, and the big topic of conversation is wild rumors about CPatt dating Dusty's daughter. One woman even called in and said she had credible sources tell her that CPatt was married to Dusty's daughter... Nothing really baseball worthy in all of this but a big LOL. http://www.700wlw.com/pages/onair_tracyjones.html
Exactly, I'd have been ok with a split in this series... losing to CC and Sheets, but now that we've won those... it almost feels like anything less than a 3-1 series win will almost be a let down. Not to sound like Bob Brenly here, but let's not get too carried away here. These are two big wins, make no mistake... but just as unlikely as it was to win these first two games, it's entirely possible that the Brewers could beat Dempster and Harden. I am confident that we'll take at least one of those two, but still, it's far from a guarantee.
