That's not on Ronny. He took his foot off the bag to save his leg. I agree that the throw probably shouldn't have come in but there are other ways to defend the runner coming in. He clearly took his foot off the base too early. But that's done all the time. How many knee injuries would middle infielders have if they didn't allow the phantom tag?
