  1. Hill is going to own dat foo! Welcome to the revolution, Carlos. Under.
  2. Nomar is really going to hurt you at 1B considering your categories. Uggla could have been a flash in the pan or he could be a stud. Big risk. I stayed away from him. Guillen should be solid, IMO, especially where the pickings are slim at SS. Rolen? I hope he stays healthy for you. Barrett didn't look so hot to a lot of ppl but he missed time b/c of his injury (fluke) and punching AJ. Good pickup. Your OF looks very nice. If Bonds stays healthy you're going to get awesome production. Hafner is money. I like your bench other than Chavez and Huff. Who is available on waivers? When did Saito go in your draft? I snagged him late. See if you can trade for him if he was. The price shouldn't be too steep. Where did Stephen Drew go? He'd be a nice backup at SS. Get rid of bonser, igawa, josh johnson (out 'til june?), and nick johnson (out for 1/2 a season). Is Gordon (3B) available? Watch out for Bailey, Hughes, Lincecum, etc to come available when they're called up.
  3. You mean the guy that worked the count deep several times? He didn't look "lost" IMO.
  4. It's at Wrigley. :? Monroe,LA's home team. Oh, gotcha. :) And where were you today when Capuano was working his perfect game? We needed your bad juju to break it up.
  5. DeRosa didn't have a great game, but he worked the count admirably a couple of times. That's more than I can say for the rest of the Cubs the first couple times through the lineup. Miller lost this game. Eyre brought in the gas can. Cedeno was fine. He got jobbed on that call at 2B. The phantom tag is routinely called so middle infielders don't go down with knee injuries. Even the Brewers' announcers were all over that, calling it a "ticky tack call."
  6. Guzman has to get it together. He was not very good as a starter in Spring Training, and the games I saw him he was getting hit pretty hard. I would love for him to get it together, but I'm skeptical. I'll take the guy with 3 potential plus pitches over the present day Miller, who doesn't seem to be gaining any velocity on his FB. I wasn't big on post-injury Gooz until I saw his curve in ST. If he stays healthy, he's going to open some eyes.
  7. Yes. His curve looked fine. His fastball isn't good enough to get people out swinging when it's up and over the plate. I realize he used to be able to do that, but he needs to make the mental adjustment in a hurry. 88 mph heaters up in the zone get cranked over the fence. The thing that really irks me about this game is Miller should have rocked. The ump was calling the low strike all game long. That's where Miller needs to be working his FB for the most part. He got hammered when he went up in the zone.
  8. You love TT more than Wuertz? :? Well they both go to Mizzou...I guess what happens there stays there. :-$
