Bruce Miles pretty much indicated that Hendry was clueless as to this teams problems.

  4. See, Jacque, that's how you catch balls near the wall.
  5. Izzy needs to have a clubhouse meeting with Z.
  6. that's not an error. moron scorer tonight.
  7. Marquis has thrown 44 pitches through two innings. 0 ER
  8. As a major league catcher, you have to stop that. And it's not like it's a rare occurence or anything. That's his 8th passed ball of the year. Keep in mind it's only June 3rd. What?! Marquis missed by 3 feet. You stop a 90 mph pitch where you transition your wrist completely the other way. he missed by more than three feet. barrett was half standing with the glove at his face, and the ball was nearly in the dirt. marquis is beyond lucky so far tonight. hahahaha, yup.
  9. Pay attention, Marquis. Let's get that ADD under control. He's been missing his spots by feet, not inches.

Barrett hasn't looked good behind the plate this year, but I'd be inclined to agree if you were to suggest that many of his defensive miscues have been at least partially due to the pitching staff. I was just talking about that one play. It's not as easy as some people are suggesting, even for a ML catcher.
  11. The ball didn't hit the ground, and he screwed up the throw that would've beaten him easily. And on top of that, he keeps calling the high strike with Marquis, who's best pitch is the sinker. I really do question his intelligence. It's no secret that he isn't a smart player. Yeah, b/c you never want to change the eye level of a batter. Never.

  13. Um, that's a really tough play to make. The ball was called for UP, not in the dirt.
  14. Yeah, b/c any competent catcher picks that foul ball up earlier.
