  1. What cost us this game? Bynum not covering 2B fast enough on that steal by Wilson. Wilson doesn't score if he isn't in scoring position. Thanks Slow Freddie.
  2. Novoa needs to be traded in the offseason. Wuertz needs to stay in the bigs and not waste half a season in AAA b/c of a slow ST.
  3. Aramis has made some solid defensive plays today.
  4. Why would LaRussa bat the .132 Carpenter and then pull him before pitching the next half inning. It doesn't have anything to do with Rosental. :? Why would he send him to the mound the next inning? Why wouldn't he pinch run with him, especially when he's the go ahead run? Because Carpenter thought he wasn't hurt that bad. He went out to the mound and changed his mind. Still, why do you bat a .132 hitting pitcher in a close game if you're going to take him out anyway? You don't. Yes!! Bynum picks up where Neifi left off. Inning ending DP.
  5. Why would LaRussa bat the .132 Carpenter and then pull him before pitching the next half inning. It doesn't have anything to do with Rosental. :?
  6. LaRussa is still a Bush league child, even if Carpenter is hurt.
  7. Maybe it wasn't Bush league nonsense from LaRussa. Carpenter is lifted after going to bat in the bottom of the inning.
  8. I think Ausmus is still ahead I don't know. Cedeno: .243/.269/.328/.597 Ausmus: .229/.302/.288/.590 I'll take Ausmus b/c of the OBP differential. Ausmus also catches a good game. Ronny is an error making machine.
  9. No decision for Hill. Dusty lifts him after 93 pitches. Personally, I think this is the right move. Hill pitched a great game.
  10. Good thing speed never slumps. He's only hitting .264, so it's a good thing speed doesn't slump, or he'd put Cedeno to shame.
  11. Cedeno, the worst regular in the big leagues. Make him our starting '07 2B, Jim!!!
  12. Rich Hill, your '07 #4 starter and innings eater.
  13. Hey Pierre, take some fricking pitches, would ya?
  14. Other than the attempted bunt on the first pitch, that was a good AB by Cedeno. Saw 8 pitches.
  15. I think that's the first DP Murton has grounded into since the ASB.
  16. Hill so far: 4.0 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 HR, 0 BB, 2 K (Pujols and Rolen) 57 pitches, 37 strikes
  17. That was catchable, Sr. Barrett. WP issued to Hill. :x
  18. I guess we know what the ultimate priority in the Cubs organization is and it isn't winning. I used to think they were just incompetent. I'm not too surprised though. This is the same organization that scalps it's own tickets. edit: Baker's quote also makes it seem like he isn't much of a leader. Leaders don't pass the buck and say, "it isn't my problem." Make it your fricking problem and get the issue resolved. It sounds like someone doesn't want to rock the boat, at least not in the media. Maybe someone could ask Andy about this. It sure as heck had better be in "his department."
