    Unless those are some really good prospects, the Braves aren't letting Salty go. They are extremely high on him. I know he's good, but what happens when he's ready for the majors with McCann already at catcher? If we were able to grab him it would make our draft decision a lot easier (Price over Wieters, assuming Price isn't grabbed ahead of us). You draft the best player available, not to fill a specific need.

    Who cares how it was scored? Woody didn't pitch particularly well. He's not going to be judged on his ST numbers. Woody's stuff is still great. More innings should cure his wildness (relatively speaking).

    Well, it took Marte to get Renteria, so I doubt Miller gets him straight up.

    I would just prefer to see Pie split time with Jones while Floyd or Ward act as 1st PH out of the dugout. And with Pagan in the mix someone is going to rot on the bench anyway. Since Ward plays 1b, I think he actually fits better than Pagan or Floyd. No. No. No. Pie needs regular ABs. His bat hasn't caught up to the rest of his game and it's not going to get better with irregular ABs in Wrigley.

    So, what teams are looking for a fifth starter, and what could we get in exchange for Miller? I can think of the Mets, Nationals, Mariners, and Rangers who could be in the market for a starter. The Cardinals and Astros might as well, but we'd be hesitant to deal with those two. B prospects

    He struck 1 out today. He also has broken at least 4 bats already in 3 innings of work. He pitched very well today. A blooper into the OF that was misplayed by Jones allowed the double. Then a couple IF grounders allowed the run to score. The only hard hit ball against Samardzija so far has been the double by Swisher, who needless to say is a really good hitter. Jeff didn't allow a run in that inning btw. But hey, he hasn't struck anyone out yet.
