The fact that Guzman hasn't had the success at the Major League level is what scares me with giving him the nod over Prior. In today's game his success was against guys that probably won't even make the Royals team. If you take that into account he really didn't do anything all that great. Don't get me wrong he can pitch and may be a better option then Prior but lets see what he can do against Major League talent before we anoint him as the #5 guy. If you have 3 plus pitches you can do just fine in the major leagues. A 95 mph fastball with movement, plus changeup, and plus curveball are good enough to rate you as a #3 starter or better. Will he stay healthy? I haven't the slightest, but his stuff makes Cotts, Miller, and the current incarnation of Prior look like high schoolers.
