Screw the Reds, I'm concerned about this Rickie Weeks guy and his 30-30 potential That Rickie Weeks guy you speak of will likely be in Milwaukee for 1 more year tops. Woosh.
http://baseball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/15890/20090723/nationals_entertaining_offers_for_dunn/ It'd suck massively if Dunn made his way to St. Louis.
I prefer Verlander. I know alot of guys on this site would take the "easy way out" and chose a soft tosser, but come on "man up" and chose a tougher assignment. I'd go with Verlander. if i have a chance to win a million dollars i'm making it as easy on myself as possible. you can man up and embarrass yourself on three pitches while i win my million bucks. Considering you'll probably both strikeout on three pitches, I'd say it's more embarrassing to have it happen against Shawn Estes than Johan Santana.
Or he could just play to his ability regardless of his contract. I'm just not sure it's the best idea, even though it sounds really good on the surface.
The question here is, assuming we take Sanchez's whole contract, do we really want him? I know he sounds really nice, but he's very expensive and if his average isn't high he's not particularly productive.
