I prefer Verlander. I know alot of guys on this site would take the "easy way out" and chose a soft tosser, but come on "man up" and chose a tougher assignment. I'd go with Verlander. if i have a chance to win a million dollars i'm making it as easy on myself as possible. you can man up and embarrass yourself on three pitches while i win my million bucks. Considering you'll probably both strikeout on three pitches, I'd say it's more embarrassing to have it happen against Shawn Estes than Johan Santana.

What were the circumstances of Piazza's trade to New York? He got traded to Florida from LA, but Florida never really intended on keeping him, right?

Or he could just play to his ability regardless of his contract. I'm just not sure it's the best idea, even though it sounds really good on the surface.

The question here is, assuming we take Sanchez's whole contract, do we really want him? I know he sounds really nice, but he's very expensive and if his average isn't high he's not particularly productive.

Oh, Milton Bradley. I was wondering what Mark Buehrle was doing in this thread. Maybe we can get the Bucs to eat a fair amount of Sanchez's contract.

I know the way we lost the first two sucks, but you can't really complain about going 1-2 in Philly. It's just kind of expected.
