  1. Damn it. There goes my joke.
  2. As far as I know he's single.
  3. So I had absolutely no idea Hairston could play short.
  4. Thank God.
  5. Thank God.
  6. I hadn't clicked this thread before because I wasn't particularly interested in reading about Scherzer. Now that I see what it's turned into, I'm not particularly interested either. If you guys keep responding, he'll continue being a broken record. If you stop, or better yet put him on ignore like I have, he'll go away. It's that simply. But there's too many people that fall into his trap and allow him to continue repeating one of three posts he's made here over and over.
  7. What has Mike Fontenot done to earn a spot on this team, exactly?
  8. He has been so far. But I can't imagine he'll end up being better than the Russel Martins and Joe Mauers of the world.
  9. This is always fun. I was just browsing through the Kansas City Royals roster and came across Tony Pena. Through 86 ABs, Pena's line is .163/.180/.209. He has struck out nineteen times and walked twice. He has no home runs. His OPS+ sits at an impressive 6. So who can top that?
  10. Lou would like two LHP in the rotation. If you're going to speak this authoritatively you really need a source.
  11. I know this is a ways in the future, but does Soto have any experience playing first? Even with his good defense at catcher, it might make sense to move him to first after D-Lee departs in order to keep his bat viable as long as possible.
  12. Yes I do. Do YOU remember when Mike Schmidt hit .196 as a rookie? The Phillies obviously should have released that worthless bum. You just compared Ronny Cedeno to Mike Schmidt...................................................................................................................................................................................... Yes, to point out the absurdity of basing playing time decisions for THIS year based on a player's performance AS A ROOKIE TWO YEARS AGO. But its better to base how good a player is by 1 month of spot starts and pinch hitting? When that performance is THIS year and our argument is based on TWO YEARS AGO, yes. Yeah because if he started every game this year he would be hitting .380? I'm not going to continue this debate. I'm not going to change your mind, you're not going to change my mine, and ultimately the only mind that matters is Lou's. Agreed Just remember, NCCubFan's opinion is the correct opinion. Yes. That.
  13. And of course Gameday has overloaded.
  14. The biggest argument Lou's had in his time with the Cubs has been on a call that was clearly correct.
