Yes, guys who you hear about being posted are under contract to a japanese team basically when they get posted, the american teams bid to buy the player from the japanese team.

embarassing? Isn't this the 2nd inning? They aren't exactly crushing the ball - it would help if the US played its best defense. That left side of the IF really is rather weak defensively. Chipper's not the greatest, but I'd hardly consider Jeter weak. he's the 2nd best SS in the lineup

anyone else wish he was going to platoon with Jones? :wave: Wasn't Resto formerly a highly-regarded 1st rounder that never hit worth a squat in the bigs to this point? I wonder if Hendry could have found another Barrett... That would be nice. Is he just an outfielder or can he play a little 3B or 1B? I think he can play any corner - perfect platoon partner.
