  1. I don't know if this has been brought up, but does his contract specify "no football"? Let's say the minor league season finishes up in late August, could he say, suit it up for the Bears? [/pipedream]
  2. Jones "walked out" on his team during offseason workouts.
  3. Also, I don't know where the whole "Jones is a better pass protector" agrument comes from. Lately I have seen Benson do a fine job in pass protection, and at the same time, I have seen Jones completely fudge up his protection assignments.
  4. Incorrect!!! [-X I think he's correct, I think most people here think Benson should get the bulk. I definitely think he should. He's been the better back. Indeed, he is. Based on what? Their stats look pretty even when you divide them per carry. . My opinion is not based on a stat sheet.

  6. I agree. You really don't understand how the system works, do you? I know how the system works, was my response not detailed enough for you? I'll make a note on that and work harder to impress you. No, please, you're wholly unimpressive. I'll say it again, you're mad at Prior for asking for a raise, are you mad at the Cubs for offering him one? Why don't you take the question up with the poster who created the thread, I simply echoes some of his frustrations with Prior not being able to stay healthy. I realize you have obession with stalking me in various forums, but seriously, let it go man.
  7. Why'd you give place kicking to Gould? Carney has only missed 2 field goals all year and has a higher percentage this year than Gould. Don't get me wrong, I'm a great admirer of what Gould has done this year, but just want to know your rationale on that one. http://www.milpaginas.hpg.ig.com.br/gifs/homer.gif

  9. Good point. Seattle's receivers are terrible. I really hope the Bears consider using Tillman as a shadow on Colston like the Giants game. Shadow Colston and gang up to stop the run. Make Brees beat you with his secondary WR's and TE's. He very well may, but I don't want to see Colston making big catches over Vasher and Manning Jr.
  10. I agree. If the Bears had to lose the NFC Championship to one team, it is them. People keep pointing out how they were 3-13 a year ago, but that record is misleading. They were alot better than that record, easily could have been an 8-8, 9-7 team IMO. Then they added a top 5 QB in the NFL, plus the best RB in College the past 10 years. This team is talented.
  11. He's listed as questionable, as usual. However, because Joe Horn knows how much he means to the Saints, and because he knows that this is the biggest game in franchise history, I'd expect him to make every effort to play. The cold certainly won't help the situation though, as he'll have a tough time stretching that hamstring in the cold. Unfortunately, I don't think Joe will be back next year. With the young crop of receivers the Saints have now (Colston, Henderson, and Copper), I'm not sure if the Saints will be picking up Joe's contract, which is worth about 5m a year now. I hope they do though, because he's still such a huge impact player. Provided he plays, I think Horn could be the X factor in this game. Tillman usually matches up well with the bigger WR's, so I think he will do well vs. Colston. Horn always is dangerous deep down the middle of the field, and that is exactly where the Bears are vunerable.
  12. Well, don't you dare think that Saints fans give a crap about the feel good story. It pisses us the hell off. Most of my friends and I were born Saints fans and raised diehard Saints fans who follow all the stats, players, and watch every game, etc. It sucks to have the attention diverted away from a good football TEAM and focused on a good STORY. As Cubs fans, we've followed their stats, players, schedules, and scores for years and years now, just waiting for the time when we can revel in the fact that we have a good team and look forward to something good coming from the Cubbies. What if all that patience and devotion were suddenly thrown to the wind thanks to a "feel good story". It's bullcrap. On a side note, what is the status of Joe Horn? Thumbs up? Down?
  13. I'm about taking the humble approach. I think talking smack before the game is bad luck. This game has me nervous as well. The Saints have the abiltity to come in and smack us around no doubt. However, should the Bears pull out a win, I am gonna be running my mouth afterwards.
  14. Barack Obama talkin some smack: " http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-0701160133jan16,1,6744403.story?coll=cs-football-print
  15. This is really how I think the Bears need to attack the Saints. Shadow Tillman on Colston the entire game. He will match up well. Then throw everything you have to stop the run game. Try and make Brees beat you with passes to the other receivers. What is Joe Horn's status for this game?
  16. Yeah, Gould is really making the Penn State Coaching Staff look terrible. When the Bears first signed him I was like "Great, we just signed a marginal college kicker" but I guess he was just booming kicks during his Bears tryout.
  17. Mark my words, Peter will use Rex's past quarterback ratings as an reason to dump on him at some point. In fact if I go look through his archives, I'm pretty damn sure he's already done it! I'm Muhammed didn't bobble that pass causing it to be intercepted, I'm pretty sure Grossman's rating would have been over 100.
  18. What a garbage article, I guess that tard didn't watch the game yesterday were Grossman made play after play in the passsing game. How do these idiots get reporting jobs?
  19. Bellichek is a bum, gotta root for Indy in this one.
  20. Kinda like how the Bears barely squeaked by the Bucs at home? Do you mean the meaningless regular season game after the Bears already clinched? I believe the Bears had not clinched by that time yet.
