  1. I don't see Dusty's quote that far off. " Just one word was off, IMO.
  2. I thought him mentioning that he did a few weeks back. Wait..nevermind..that was a KK article http://www.krispykreme.com/varieties.html
  3. I don't understand what they did wrong? The pitching staff went south. Who knew that Buerhle would crumble? Agreed -- IMO KW did a great job making a good team even better on paper this past off-season, but what looked good on paper did not materialize on the field. Maybe the starters threw too many innings last year and just didn't have anything left for this year, maybe the drive to win another championship isn't as strong as it is to win the first, or maybe it just goes to show how many things have to go your way to win it all.... 2005 White Sox = very lucky, 2006 White Sox = not so much luck. BTW -- not saying luck is the only reason they won last year. You have to be a good team for luck to even matter in the equation. It's not what they did but what they said. If they kept their mouths shut every once in a while and not piss off the world perhaps the situation could be better... Wait...we are talking about the Sox fans right? I kid...I kid.

  7. I wish Culpepper was still the QB for the Vikes.
  8. Rich Hill and Murton could get us alot. Cabrera, Tejada. IMO. I would consider a straight up trade of Murton for Michael Young(provided he moves to second) but the Rangers would want either Hill or Veal as well. No thanks to that.
  9. Situations like this really put life and the game of baseball in prespective. I'll come out and say that often I take the Cubs misfortunes to seriously. I am totally guilty of this. At this point, who cares about the season and all that went wrong. I just wan't the best for Derrek's daughter.
  10. I still can't believe we just had a QB throw for 4TD's in a game. I can't believe we have scored 50+ points in 2 weeks. Grossman is really making the haters that booed him at Soldier Field look like a bunch of jackasses.
  11. Now that our offense is good there is no room for those scrubs.
  12. Agree. Thanks for bringing me in-line with that post. OMFG...I was starting to defend Hendry. :!:
  13. I started Gilmore at TE in my fantasy league this week! GO ME! 8)
  14. Mind you...I'm as critical of Hendry as anyone...but at 5/Mil a season..is it really that bad of deal? It seems border-line bench players are getting near 5 a season these days. It's less the money and more the 3 years. Jacque, in my book, is a 1 or 2 year player at this point, and 2 is being generous. Isn't his total deal for $16 million? Probably. I think he will be gone by the third year regardless. I mean...someone took Neifi at 2+ million with another year left!
  15. Mind you...I'm as critical of Hendry as anyone...but at 5/Mil a season..is it really that bad of deal? It seems border-line bench players are getting near 5 a season these days. Lets say we find a better option in the OF(ie Felix Pie) it won't hard to find a trading parter for Jones.
  16. Sullivan's writing went down hill when Hendry and MacPhail chastized him. I think he is afraid that any piece critical of managment will get him fired.
  17. Strenght wise...there is power in Jones arm. IMO. His throws are so eratic though. I'm hoping for a coaching staff in 07 that actually instructs, and can harness his wildness on throws.
  18. If the Cubs got Podsednik...would his wife be making appearences at Wrigley Field? Possibly in a bikini top? :)
  19. Lets hope he is healthier than Sheets.
  20. While I don't think he is the long term solution in RF......we could have done alot worse given his modest salary.
  21. Nope. Remember Shaun Alexander has a poor game against the Lions too. That was the one consistent thing between the Lions first two games. And the more successful Grossman is, the more the running game will open up. True. I still think Benson is the most talented running back on the roster.
  22. best wishes to the Lee family. Just a tough year for Derrek. Let's hope everything works out with his daughter and he comes back ready to kick ass in 2007 with another MVP season.
  23. great win...but is anyone else still a little concerned with the running game?
  24. I really the English, right? blah, you know what I meant.
